  • Fantastic family condo

"The photos showed us that we were going to stay in a beautiful suite but they did not do justice to the size of this condo. It is so much bigger than it appears in the photos. You can pack light as they have everything you need; from beach towels, umbrellas, snorkelling gear, sand toys and boogie boards in the garage to reusable shopping bags, beach bags, toiletries (in case you forget something at home) and sunscreen in the condo. The furniture and artwork was beautiful and all the rooms had little touches like a jewelry box in the bedroom to make your stay feel like home. We used both pools in the complex but enjoyed the pool closest to our building the most. A 2 minute walk through the beautiful grounds and you could cool off in the pool. Very convenient! The grounds were lush and full of colourful flowers. We also enjoyed the lanai view of the lava path, golf course and lake. Evening dinners on the lanai using the bbq made the trip very affordable. The condo's location is perfect. Queen's Market is directly across the street and the grocery store in that plaza makes it easy to walk home with your groceries. There are 2 bikes in the garage to make your way around Waikoloa but it is also very walkable. We visited the local beaches, hotels and shops walking from the condo. Kona is a short 20 minute drive south and Hapuna, Mauna Kea and other beautiful beaches are a few minutes drive to the north. Roger was easy to work with; always responded quickly to our questions, called us when we arrived to make sure everything was going well and returned our deposit within a few days of our return. We would love to go back to stay at this condo and have recommended to friends and family to go."

  • Clean, Pool View

"First time guest in the Beach Villas. Pros: Clean with A/C Well stocked kitchen equipment Great for entertaining guests Lots of plastic cups (for the kids) Comfortable beds Hilton Pool Pass 2 pools on property Lots of towels Walk to Queens and Kings Shops Quick response from property management (access code key to unit, ants- combat worked great, gate code not work once, pool pass clarification cannot charge to room- equipment rentals at Hilton, mgmt office to print out boarding pass). Cons: Kitchen: Worn out- 2 saute teflon pans, Chipped plates, bowls, coffee cups. Beach equipment- broken boogie boards, bent noodles, various items not placed nicely in storage closet all thrown in a pile, wish there were some beach chairs. Master Bath: Broken tile in shower from prior guest, not fixed - note placed on shower tiles asking us to dry area off after showering. Missing pebble in shower floor grout, uneven dip in shower floor. Living Room: Worn out ripped up seat- Faux leather chair. Wish there was tv in loft upstairs for the game unit in living room, better use of space for kids and adults. No logo pen and writing pad from Resortica Hawaii, No welcome basket (could have been a bunch of bananas or fruit) and guest book (Surprised, first time ever not seeing these in unit). Wonder if the empty logo bag hanging on the laundry door was it. Foul odor next to both pools (possibly from plants that water can sit). Overall: Would I stay here again? YES. Enjoying the island and family is far more important. We vacation in Hawaii every year. Rented many units and single family homes in Hawaii 17+ years and Prior Hawaii resident."

  • "We enjoyed our stay in unit 14D very much. We had stayed in Hali'i Kai last year in building #15 and liked the location and view so much we booked a 10 day period this year (Jan 2009). The unit is very comfortable, we used only the master bedroom as there was only the two of us. The pool is great and staff at the beach club very helpful. Susie was extrememly prompt in replying to e-mails when I was booking the accomodation. I would highly recommend getting out and doing a few hikes - in particular doing the two hikes (one on either side of Waipio Valley). When you do the hike at the end of the hwy past Hawi make sure you not only hike down to the beach but continue across the valley floor and go up the trail to the top. We went about 5 mins past the gate and got a nice view BUT others said to continue about 15-20 mins past the gate to a bench. On the other side, go to the end of the hwy that goes through the little town of Waipio and park at the end of the road. The walk down is very steep but only 1 mile. It takes about 30 mins going down and 35 - 45 coming back up. Great views here even if you don't do the walk."

  • Fantastic Condo!!

"Perfect condo, well appointed and in great condition for family of 4 with two teenagers. This condo has everything, in great working condition, that you will need for your trip; boogie boards, beach chairs, coolers, beach towels, snorkle equiptment and bikes! The kitchen has been well stocked for meal preparations, the beds are comfy and my teenagers appreciated the cable and wifi. And Heidi was a pleasure to book with! Loved the close proximity to the pool and barbeques. The grounds at Waikoloa Colony are beautiful and well maintained as are the pool areas and gym. Don't miss the Mauna Kea and Hapuna Beaches, Lava Lava Club at sunset and check out Volcano National Parks- it's surreal!! The family also enjoyed kayaking and snorkling with Kona Boys to Kealakekua Bay- best snorkling ever!! Truly hope to make it back to this fabulous condo and island soon!!!"
