  • Nice stay at this Waikoloa beach condo. We felt at home.

"The condo is located near the end which allows for privacy and quite evenings. Yet the BBQ and pool are conveniently close. If you like to exercise there is a gym, but we found that an early morning walk around Queens Market courtyard and along the golf course to be a more pleasant exercise. This property is nicely decorated, clean and comfortable with a serene garden area off the lanai for enjoying the morning coffee or an evening after a day of beach or sightseeing. The condo's kitchen is well stocked. The Pack and Play was helpful with our grandchild. This condo is especially good for a family with small children since it is on the ground floor. Barbara, the owner is very responsive to phone calls and texts. She very helpful with information and making sure you have what you need for your stay. The Queens Market and Kings Shops are a quick walk where you find shops, a food court and restaurants. "A" beach is close by. You can walk it in a few minutes or drive and park in the lot in a of couple minutes. If you like to avoid driving 18 miles to Kona for groceries at Costco, Walmart, Safeway, there is the Waikoloa Village a few miles away where you will find the Waikoloa Village Market which offers a large selection and better pricing for groceries than the markets at the Queens Market or the King Shops. Also at Waikoloa Village is the Lava Cafe which has nice outdoor seating to relax and have a meal. You can get there by exiting Waikoloa Resort and turning left (north) onto Hwy 19 (Queens Hwy). Go a couple miles and turn right onto Waikoloa Drive and continue until you see Waikoloa Village on the left. If you plan to sight-see around the island allow yourself an early start so you can get back to this condo and relax. It was a great place for us to relax and enjoy the end of the day."

  • Great golf and Big Island experience

"Quality condo with all the amenities and private lanai. Affordable golf because unit maintains a membership in the Kings and Beach Courses. Owner and manager are a pleasure to deal with. We'll be back."

  • Great Condo, Great Owners within a Very Nice Complex

"We were lucky enough to spend 3 wks. here on a family trip with 4 generations split between 3 units. Colony Villas is a lovely complex with beautiful pools, lush landscaping, and nice BBQ's. And the other units our family members rented were nice as well. But I do believe ours was the best. That feeling started when I made my initial email request & Mary called me almost immediately, rather than just emailing. She & Chuck were so friendly, helpful & great to deal with throughout the whole process. They spend a lot of time at their condo and it shows in all the nice little touches. This is not a 'generic' rental with just the basics!!! Certainly different things matter to different people & the pictures on the listing show you the unit well, but here are some of the things we really appreciated: comfortable beds & pillows, flat screen TV's in living room & master, TV's in the other 2 bedrooms, wonderfully stocked kitchen (sharp knifes too), wi-fi that was fast (even with several devices all using at once), ALL the beach toys (chairs, boogie boards, cooler, ice packs, beach bags), lots & lots of beach towels, full-size stacked washer & dryer, open downstairs floor plan with comfortable furniture (room for all 6 of us without feeling cramped), great location within complex looking out onto 10th fairway of Beach Golf Course. If you are a golfer, the Lepley's have the Gold Membership that transfers to their guests - so we played the King's Course for $50 and the Beach Course for $75. Discount applies to club rentals as well, as some in our party did not bring their clubs & rented beautiful Nike sets (men's & ladies) for $25. This is a huge benefit & savings over paying regular rates at both courses. If I had to list a negative, I'd say for us its the fact that this complex does not have ocean views - BUT, especially at night with the sliding doors & windows open & fans going, you 'feel' like you are close to the ocean with all the palm trees & landscaping plants swaying in the delightful breeze. We've visited the Big Island many times, and stayed in many other complexes in Waikoloa Beach & Kona area. We've had great ocean views, but we've never had a more comfortable, delightful place to stay. My dining tip - The Beach Tree at the Four Seasons Hualalai for great food, gorgeous sunsets & live music - NOT as expensive as you might think. For Shaved Ice - Anuenue, up by Kawaihae Harbor - whatever flavor you pick, get it with a snow cap...YUM."
