"My mother and I spent a wonderful, relaxing week at this condo. It's perfectly situated near the pool and clubhouse, which we discovered is very important at Hali'i Kai. We remarked more than once that we were so glad we were not in units closer to the main road as it would be a very long walk and quite difficult for mom. This unit is well appointed, the master suite is especially spacious with a very nice en suite. Housekeeping visited once mid week to take out trash and leave fresh towels. This was fine with us, and those who need more frequent visits can request as an add-on. The daily fee that covers the housekeeping and access to the pool was an additional $10 per day, which was reasonable. The wifi was easy to access via a code provided at check in. This was my fourth trip to the Big Island, and every previous time I have stayed along the Kohala Coast at major hotels. This time, rather than pay exorbitant hotel rates and resort fees we decided to check VRBO. This decision was the right one. For much less than the cost of two rooms and the logistical challenges of meeting for meals, etc, we had plenty of space and the ability to have breakfast and lunch in the condo or the pool (the spinach salad was a favorite). The Hali'i Kai is a beautiful spot from the condos to the pool area. Quiet, well managed, very friendly staff. Waikoloa Resort offers good restaurant options, and some shopping. These are a long walk or easy drive from Hali'i Kai. Having been around the island several times, we stayed close to home for the week. However, it is a great location for day trips to see all this incredible place has to offer. The owner was very responsive during the reservation stage and the check in and out processes were a breeze. We would definitely return to this condo on our next visit to the island of Hawaii!"Guest: Michelle D. Date of Stay: December 2013 Review Submitted: December 28, 2013View listing
"We were a party of 6 age 60 - 70. It was a little difficult being on the 2nd and third story. Parking was a problem when you have a visitor. It would be nice to have more than one set of towels per person. All in all the space was good and met our needs. The pool area was lovely."Guest: Nanette L. "The house at Waikoloa Colony Villas is very luxuriously finished. A beautiful place, excellent beds, airconditioning etc. There's a garage to park you car, tennis and snorkling gear and even two bicycles. The resort is extremely well maintained. The kids enjoyed the nearby pool and we used one of the two BBQ's there frequently. The King's and Queen's marketplace have everything you need in terms of shopping and eating. The beach is right around the corner. Whether you are a golfer or not, you'll enjoy this place. We know we did!"Guest: Ton Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: June 25, 2014View listing
"My husband and I stayed in this beautiful condo for 9 days in July. We come to Hawaii every year and stay in different condos, on different islands. This condo was the best because # 1 the pantry was FULL. Things were left from past tenants, spices, coffee filters, boxed cereal, etc. So we didn't have to rush out and buy minor condiments. #2 The Internet worked well #3 Nice furniture, appliances, and enough toilet paper, paper towels, and detergent. #4 close to the pool. # 5 Gated community. #6 beautiful view of both golf course and ocean. We loved this condo and will come back again, hopefully for a longer stay."Guest: Nancy and Wayne Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 28, 2014View listing
