"we were wonderfully surprised at the condo we had rented. the deck overlooks the golf course and has a nice breeze. the location was about a 10 minute walk to the A bay or a 2 minute drive to park and drop off your stuff and park. Amenities were fantastic and they were very gracious in providing us a great pac-n-play for our 7 mo old, a high chair and some snorkeling equipment as well. Definitely will go back and try to stay at the same place. Washer and dryer were a blessing coming from the hotel on Oahu"Guest: kimono Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 8, 2014View listing
"My husband and I had such a relaxing time and the condo was perfect. It is so beautifully furnished but there's also a cozy warm homelike feeling. It's even lovelier than in the photos and if I could have my oatmeal and tea every morning on that lanai with the view of the mountains, ocean and greenery, I would be the most contented person alive. I'm not sure if it was b/c we were there in June (off season, I believe) but Hali'i Kai was such a quiet & peaceful place. We loved it so much b/c it felt like such an oasis even within the Waikoloa Beach Resort itself. There is a great path along the ocean that starts just left of the Hali’I Kai Clubhouse and ends at A-bay. It takes you along the gorgeous rocks and crashing waves and then thru the Hilton grounds which is really big and busy but an interesting place to see. Seeing dolphins pretty close up was very cool. Waikoloa Beach Resort grounds were so beautiful and well cared for & staff in all the different areas were so pleasant and helpful. Most days we went to Hapuna Beach (up the highway a bit) which was beautiful. Such a perfect beach for sunning, swimming and snorkeling (by the rocks). The weather & water were perfect & it was never too crowded even on the weekends. Volcano National Park was a bit of a drive but really cool hiking and seeing volcano craters and a rainforest. Not able to see any actual Lava though unless we went on and air tour… Most nights we grilled out on the Lanai, which we loved, but one night we splurged and went to the Saturday night Clambake at the Mauna Kea Resort up the highway a bit. We had a table just at the edge of the beach, watched the sunset and had all-you-can-eat lobster, shrimp and anything else you can think of. Wonderful atmosphere and delicious! The owners of our Hali'i Kai condo were very helpful prior to our arrival answering questions and recommending places to go. There were a lot of beach gear (chairs, towels, coolers etc.) available for our use that made it so convenient to head out to the beach. We will return here for sure and we highly recommend it to anyone wanting to be around a lot of really cool stuff but not directly in the middle of the chaos. -Trish"Guest: Trish B. "The pictures do not do this place justice and they are incredible. The unit is more spacious than it looks. The overall development as you drive through to the condo is immaculate. Ken was very easy to work with and answered any questions I may have had prior to agreeing to stay here. The staff at the Ocean Club were very pleasant and also volunteered ideas for our visit to the big island. There were no issues from the minute we arrived except for deciding whether or not to just stay at the condo the whole time or do some sightseeing. I could have stayed. Everything a person would need is right there. If you leave the blinds open at night, there’s plenty of distance across the golf course for privacy and an alarm clock is not necessary because the sun will wake you up. The master bath is fantastic. The views are phenomenal. My wife and I look forward to returning to 12G and relaxing on the lanais. Even if the kids can’t make it. Thanks Ken."Guest: Marty Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: June 17, 2014View listing
"The view was amazing! Everyday we saw whales right in front of the condo! One day we saw a large pod of spinner dolphins with a pod of Whales swimming just a little farther out! It was an incredible sight! The condo is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need, from beach towels, chairs and even all of the spices you could think of. We will be back! Sari was wonderful to work with and easy to reach!"Guest: Sammamish Gal Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: March 1, 2014View listing
