"Ruma, Jason and I can’t thank you enough for allowing us to stay in your villa while on our honeymoon. Your home is beautiful and we loved the views of the golf course and Waikoloa Village from the lanai. Our trip went way to fast—so busy every day! We visited Volcano National Park, the Punaluu black sand beach, and the Kona Brewing Company among other destinations. We appreciate all your assistance during the rental process, including phone calls and emails. As first time VRBO users, we are quite pleased with the results. We hope to be lucky enough to return to the Big Island again someday. MAHALO! Jason & Natalie"Guest: Jason B. Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 17, 2014View listing
"As with all the other reviews I agree this condo is very nice. Plenty of room to stretch out. Easy walk to Beach club - pool and to the beach. The beach here is nice in there is shade and sun, plenty of chairs to sit on, refreshments close by. This is not a good beach for snorkeling, at least not while we were there. The water was very cloudy. Overall, I think the property is very nice and have only a couple of comments of things that bothered me. Sounds kinda picky but it did affect my day to day life there. One was that although the condo was neat I felt that it wasn't as clean as I would have liked it to be. I felt that all the counters in the kitchen and bathrooms were not pristine. The dishes were all put away, but I felt like they might not have been clean. Several of the pots still had some crusty food on them. The microwave had splattered spaghetti sauce in it. The kitchen drawer with the utensils (there was not a lack of ANY utensil) had a bunch of beer bottle caps in it. The owner did say that the renters prior to us had left late and it was a bit messy which may have explained the above items. In addition, the water in this unit smells bad and tastes bad. The dishwasher smelled - hard to believe clean dishes would come out of there. The bed in the master bedroom is way too soft for my liking. They have put very cushy mattress overlays on top of the mattress, I think to raise the height to make it easier to get over the bamboo sides of the bed. The mattress itself was perfect without the overlays but then it was difficult to get out of the bed. Overall, I liked the kolea properties very much, this one was fine but not excellent."Guest: joy Date of Stay: June 2013 Review Submitted: June 28, 2013View listing
"Richard and Laura went above and beyond to make sure our 50th anniversary vacation and celebration was perfect ! The condo is sparkling clean, decorated very tastefully with thought to anything and everything we could have wanted or needed. The ocean and golf views were so beautiful it was difficult to leave the balcony or lanai. We spent 8 night, joined by our two daughters and their spouses. It was wonderfully memorable and none wanted it to end. Thank you Richard and Laura for your attention to detail, you kind help with all our questions and most of all, for renting this paradise!"Guest: Happy customer Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: June 30, 2014View listing
"We spent 10 days in Ellen's unit and it was all wonderful. Ellen is a very responsive owner who takes a personal interest in making sure everything works to your satisfaction. The unit was impeccably clean, organized and comfortable. The pictures do not do it justice, it's actually nicer than it appears. The location is great with really nice views. We will definitely return!"Guest: JR Date of Stay: September 2013 Review Submitted: January 2, 2014View listing
