  • Fantastic!

"This is the third time I have stayed in this condo! The first 2 times I was with family. This time I was back with friends for a "girls only" vacation. I return here for many reasons. It is amazingly clean ( I am a neat freak)and tastefully decorated. It is equipped with everything we needed whenever we looked for anything...things ranging from wine bottle openers to beach chairs to books and games. The owner was extremely attentive to our needs and responded to our few questions immediately...very reassuring when you are so far away from home. We went to several beaches, but Hapuna Beach was a favorite with beautiful white sand, warm water, some waves, and a lifeguard. Be prepared to pay the $5 parking fee. It is worth it! There are a lot of great restaurants. Most of them are a little ride, but the scenery is worth it. Bamboo in Hawi was a treat! We also loved Huggos in Kailua Kona. It is right on the bay with spectacular sunsets. Be prepared to drop a few dollars though. I recommend this place to everyone! Aloha!"

  • Fabulous Find

"We have stayed in other condos but never one that was so well equipped. There isn't anything we needed that wasn't already there. The furnishings were very nice and was very comfortable. This is a two-story unit but it has a full bedroom/bath downstairs and a private suite upstairs. We traveled with another couple and were very comfortable with the layout. It was well located - close to shops and restaurants...a a couple of good groceries. We found Kat a wonderful owner to work with. Any question we had before and during our visit was promptly and pleasantly answered. There was a plethora of information in the book about the home as well as things to do. The pool is quite close. Not to be missed for a view of the property is the Hilton Waikoloa which is an amazing place (not to stay) to see...ride the boat or tram for an overview of the acres of property, swim with the dolphins and have a sunset dinner at the Kameula Provisions Company on site. Pricey but a beautiful place. There is a gem of a place for breakfast called Lava Java at the Waikoloa Highlands Center - biggest cinnamon roll you'll ever encounter. Great food - casual atmosphere. We visited a coffee plantation (Mountain Thunder) south of Kona...very interesting. There are so many things to do for everyone from the wildly active sports enthusiast to the person who wants to relax on the lanai or poolside reading a good book. A great vacation is in your future if you go to this unit in Colony Villas."

  • Our great trip to the Big Island was enhanced by our stay at this property.

"The description and pictures were exactly as described in the listing. It was very clean and offered everything we needed for our stay in the area. The owner was great to work with and provided us with so many helpful hints and ideas for places to go and things to do. We made a point of going to or doing most of their recommended sites and activities. It was a great place to stay and we would certainly want to stay in this unit again when we return to the Big Island. One highlight was dinner at the Lava Lava Beach Club restaurant watching a beautiful sunset. We used this as our base for several day trips by car going to Hapuna Beach, North to Hawi and back through Waimea, South to Kailua Village and onto Honaunau and back. We made an independent stay for three days over on the Hilo side as well."

  • Great stay...

"We stayed 3 nights here and found everything to be great. It was clean and very well stocked in the kitchen and bathrooms. It was a great location as a base for exploring the northern part of the island. Barry was very helpful and we appreciated the welcome basket. He gave us lots of tips and directions. Would definitely book again."
