Recent Waikoloa Village reviews

  • No Place Like It in the Village

"I've been coming to this coast for close to 30 years now. I know this because as I walked along the Mauna Kea Beach with my 30 year old son, he said, "this resort trips me out because it's the only thing over the past 30 years that hasn't changed in my life". 20 trips to the Kona Coast over the past 30 years and this family vacation was the best and the big thing that made it the best was where we stayed. It's all been said in the reviews (including the dogs barking but if that bothers you stay at a hotel because you won't get away from that anywhere in the village). Very few houses in the village have a pool and are as nice as this one (our friend who is a real estate agent told us that when she visited) . Sitting around the fire beside the pool on the cool evenings was magical. We usually stop at Tommy Bahamas or the golf course for happy hour on the way home from golf or the beach but not this time. Happy hour was always back at the house (which saved me $100 a day). There is no need to drink or eat out because it's all here."

  • Golf trip with HDCC construction.

"Good quiet evenings and comfortable accommodations. I stayed at this area while working in Kawaihae, so I felt the others on this golf trip would have the same good feeling of comfort. Thank you, John."

  • Family Fun!

"What a great house for our group of 9. Well appointed kitchen, clean and spacious home. Really enjoyed being able to girl and hang out on the patio even in the heat of the day. Loved having the beach gear, including an umbrella to keep our pale Alaska skin from searing. Close to great beaches, and we got a kick our of the turkeys strutting their stuff around the golf course. Really enjoyed our stay and the personal attention we received from Andy."

  • A Home Away From Home

"This place was so much more than we had expected. Very spacious and comfortable with pretty much everything we needed to make our 3 week stay a wonderful experience. We were not in need of anything for cooking as the cupboards are well stocked with sauces, spices, and herbs. The trade winds were fantastic, especially in the evening while trying to go to sleep. The sound of the rustling palm tress literally sounds like ocean waves. I haven't slept so soundly in years. We are so grateful to the owners for allowing us to use their home during our stay. There are some beautiful white sand beaches not to far from Waikoloa Village and we found ourselves enjoying the boogie boards and beach chairs, that they provided for our use, almost every single day. It's always hard to leave Hawaii but we will be back again very soon! Warm Mahalo, Sandra and Sara"
