"the sun hits the lanai by nine in the morning and stays until sunset - I get sun, my wife enjoys the shade. Being on the second floor, the view is relaxing over the pool and the golf course and the sun sets were spectacular. What more can I say, it was our fifth time there and since A. J. lives in the area he gives great advice on all things happening and is always available for help. On all our stays we never lacked anything to make our visit completely enjoyable."

  • Mele Kalikimaka Indeed

"Unit was exactly as advertised. Made for a fantastic Christmas vacation. Shared the unit with my parents and two kids (11 and 8) and felt we had the space to enjoy. Unit was a little warm upon entry, but quickly cooled down thanks to tradewinds and ceiling fans -- I'm an "air conditioning" guy, and I didn't miss it. Nice selection of beach stuff -- the chairs and boogie boards have seen better days, but were much preferred to bringing or renting! In-unit laundry enabled us to pack light. Nice floors compared to other units (we stayed at Paniolo before on a time share exchange). Great views for the sunset -- enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail before heading out for a meal or grilling on the Weber just outside the unit door. Not on a beach, but easy to get to several by car -- allowed us to sample several beaches rather than sticking with just one. Not "resort fancy", but really comfortable and well-maintained -- it felt like home within hours. Gary was a great communicator and gave us thorough directions and leaves frequent little notes around the unit to help us navigate. Recommended as a nice home base at good value for those who want to explore the island."

  • Very nice for extended stay.

"Communication with the owner is very good and prompt. The condo is very clean and uncluttered. It was nice to have empty closets and drawer which is not always the case with some VRBO units. The condo was well equipped and I guess the best recommendation is we would rent it again."

  • Relax, unwind and enjoy a great view!

"I was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful condition of the house, with it's tasteful decorations. We were very comfortable, and the Master Suite had a temperpedic mattress which my husband was thrilled with. Both daughters had their own bedrooms which were comfortable as well. The deck was made for sun bathing or relaxing. It was hard finding the place at night as my GPS could not pinpoint the location, and the mailbox number was one digit off. Be sure to get emailed lockbox instructions, we had to play a bit to get the correct combination. You leave payment for the cleaning person on the desk when you leave. Joe keeps the place neat and clean. We made sure to keep the screen doors shut at night, so that the neighborhood cats did not chase any furry visitors inside. We liked the location, it was not as hot in Waikoloa Village as it is down near the beach, so evenings were very pleasant and not too hot, just comfortably warm. It was wonderful being in a home where you could truly relax and cook your own breakfast in the mornings. I liked the location as were were only 50 minutes from Hilo if you took the Saddle Back, about 12 min. from the Beach Village, very close to a local market with great food selections, 15 minutes from Hapuna Beach. I loved the kitchen, it had a great ambiance. We would often go out on the deck and enjoy the sunset! I would not hesitate to stay here again, thank you Joe!!"
