"Very enjoyable stay and exactly as described/explained by manager (John L.). Good shopping within 25 miles (pretty much the same as the rest of USA). Recommend reading "Hawaii the Big Island Revealed" by Andrew Doughty for things to see and do also includes great driving maps. The Condo was very good, John was Great. Note - for lower golf prices, check out golfnowdotcom. I my round at the village was $23 including the cart!!!"

  • Elegant, Clean and Complete

"My wife and I stayed at this condo in October 2014 and it was wonderful. Very, very well appointed condo that was immaculate and was more completely outfitted than any other VRBO condo we have stayed in. The owner is easy and pleasant to do business with."

  • Midwest Couples Vacation

"Great location if you want to be outside the main Waikoloa hotel zone! Perched up in the hills about 20-25min from the beach. Great views and privacy with the lava wall. It is a perfect set-up for couples, private and unique. As stated in previous reviews there are separate entrances to each of the bedrooms and both have very new/updated bathrooms. The kitchen and living areas were very nice as well! Updated kitchen and stocked with everything that you may need. The grill was also a big plus to have on the pool deck. Some cons - In the master bedroom while we were unpacking we noticed rubbish underneath the bed and dresser as well as ants crawling on the nightstand, (found ant traps in the kitchen cabinet and that took care of it). In the 2nd bedroom a diaper was found in the dresser as well as someones shorts. The 2nd bedroom also has a very noisy fan and needs to be serviced or replaced. Upon arrival the pool was cloudy and green. As we have a pool at home, I checked the skimmer and the filter and found foam balls clogging the skimmer and the strainer basket was full of debris! The filter was also clogged with debris and kleenex. My wife emailed the owners and they responded promptly and sent a pool guy out the next day. He serviced the pool while we were there and appreciated that I cleaned out what I could. He added shock to the pool to clear it up, so we couldn't use the pool the 2nd day as well. He also gave us his # and said to call him if it didn't clear up. The 3rd day it again did not clear up. He again came out cleaned the sides to get rid of the green and re-shocked it... so again couldn't use it the 3rd day. 4th day we were good to go! It was just really disappointing because of the time that we wanted to spend in the sun and relax by our own private pool, especially because it was 85-95 degrees everyday. Again the owners and property manager were very prompt in responding to the issue. I guess it was just bad luck on our part. The 1/2 bath off the pool is also used as a "storage closet" for all the pool toys/gear, not very usable. I was also worried about not have a/c , and during the day as I stated it was 85-95 degrees. We were pleasantly surprised that in the evenings/early mornings it was very comfortable with the windows open and the fans running. Village Market, Banjys, Lava Lava Beach Club, Tommy Bahamas, and Kahakai Bar at the Fairmont we all very good! Small things need to be addressed and It'll be a 5!"

"The condo was quiet, clean and comfortable. Easy to find. The owners provided some great suggestions for things to see and do, and things to avoid. I would recommend this unit to anyone who is able climb one flight of stairs."

Waikoloa Village Travel Tips

Waikoloa Village Resort Is a Piece of Heaven on Earth

The appeal of Kohala Coast vacation rentals simply cannot be denied.

Waikoloa Rentals Are Perfect for Any Occasion

The Waikoloa Village resort is a destination in and of itself. Sprawling more than 60 waterfront acres, you may never need to leave the grounds of these Waikoloa rentals. The resort offers air-conditioned trams to get you from point to point on the resort’s campus but if you would rather walk, the paths are flanked by authentic Asian and Polynesian artwork. More than 1,200 guest rooms are available and ready to suit anyone’s needs, making these Big Island Hawaii vacation rentals perfect for any occasion, including family vacations, weddings, honeymoons, and everything in between.

Enjoy Perfect Weather at Kohala Coast Vacation Rentals

Because the weather is almost always perfect with beautifully sunny skies, Kohala Coast vacation rentals have been the prime vacation destination for vacationers from everywhere. In years past, the island was also the prime choice for ancient Hawaiian royalty! Part of the appeal lies within Hapuna Beach State Recreation Area-–the home of one of the Unites States’ most highly rated public beaches. The rolling surf, white sand, and clear skies make Waikoloa Village resort ideal for sand and ocean lovers alike.

Do Not Miss King’s Trail During Your Stay at Waikoloa Village Resort

The coastline stretches about 40 miles and is connected by the ancient King’s Trail which actually passes through the “backyards” of many Waikoloa rentals. It has been used for centuries for different reasons but today offers a unique look at Hawaii’s history. As you follow the trail, you will pass through Pu’ukohola Heiau, the last Hawaiian temple. It was built to honor the war god Kuka’ilimoku. You will also pass through plenty of petroglyph fields. The most popular of petroglyph spots is on Waikoloa Beach Drive near the King’s Shops. Please stay on the trail to preserve these ancient carvings.
