  • Hali'i Kai 6A is a wonderful home away from home! We highly recommend staying here!!

"We just returned from our family reunion and the majority of the group stayed in the Waikoloa Marriott which was busy and noisy. We were just a mile away from their hotel and our ambiance was peaceful, quiet and perfect for unwinding. Hali'i Kai 6A is a wonderful home away from home with fabulous views. We highly recommend staying here!! The Ocean Club on property was lovely with lots of lounge chairs including some right in the pool. The happy hour from 2-5 was the perfect place to watch the sunset and very reasonably priced. The tennis court was directly across from our condo which was a bonus. The owners, Vineeta & Parik, were very friendly and prompt with communications and stocked their home with everything we needed for our stay. It was very nice to have beach chairs and an umbrella, boogie boards and beach towels. A fully stocked laundry room, BBQ on the lanai and parking right in front of the condo made life very convenient. For touring, I highly recommend Hawaii Forest & Trail. They picked us up in Waikoloa for the Twilight Volcano Adventure and it was a full day of fun and was incredibly informative. I also recommend the Night Manta Ray Dive/Snorkel with Jack's Diving Locker out of Kailua/Kona. The snorkelers hold onto a SUP board with a dive master and the Manta Rays were as close to them as they were to us divers. It was an amazing experience that scuba divers and snorkelers can do from the same boat, which is great for families. We also dove with Waikoloa Divers who leave right from A-Bay where the Marriott is. Our family rented gear from them which didn't work properly and our dive master handled a lot of animals which we disagree with. I will not dive with them again. My favorite car rental company in Kona Airport is Budget for their good cars, friendliness and efficiency. Costco, Safeway & Long's Drugs are a few minutes south of the airport in Kailua-Kona and I recommend shopping there before heading North to Waikoloa. Grocery shopping in Waikoloa is convenient but you pay a premium for the convenience. We look forward to staying here again in the near future! Mahalo & Aloha, Kelley & Dan :-)"

  • Wonderful Stay!

"Our family of four had a wonderful time at this property! The condo was clean, cool, well-stocked and a true joy. The view of the ocean is breathtaking and we absolutely loved the location a bit away from the ocean where it was 6+ degrees cooler all the time! I'd definitely recommend this property to a family looking for a quiet and beautiful stay!"

  • The Best!!

"My family really enjoyed this condo!! What we so appreciated was the honesty with which the rental was advertised. The pictures online really matched what we got!! And furthermore, the condo was packed with amenities which were so appreciated when we arrived: dish detergent, soaps in bathrooms, top quality kitchen items, really nice towels, beach extras, etc!! The location was great; privacy premium; and the location so close to the great pool!! For those who love tennis, the courts are right there!! Very convenient to the rest of the Waikoloa resort activities and shops! Everything about the condo was "brand new" and so lovely!! Totally recommend this place for your next getaway!!"

  • Beautiful home, fantastic location

"My family stayed at this wonderful home for Thanksgiving week this year. There were 7 of us total - my husband and I, my parents and my three teenage sons. Overall, it was a blissful week with great weather and good company. First, just a few general comments about the house. The home is well constructed and beautifully decorated with expensive finishing features. Although it looks like a U shape from the photos, it is actually two separate wings with a solid gate/door that serves as the entrance to the home. There are three bedrooms in one wing and two in the other. In the wing with three bedrooms, each bedroom is completely separate, and you walk outside under the lovely covered lanai to get to each, so it is very private in this respect. The other two are in the wing with the living room and kitchen. We have been looking to buy in Kohala Waterfront, so we checked out the location as compared to all the other homes. We debated an oceanfront home, but I'm glad we stayed here. The view is truly fantastic and because the Hawaiian path goes in front of the oceanfront homes, I did not feel it was as secure as this location. Not too many whales this time of year, but we did see a few and a school of dolphins. The best part of the home was the following: the incredible view, the lovely and private rooms, the outdoor shower off the master bedroom, the lanai, the outdoor grill, the quiet location, great beach gear for the kids, the courteous and service oriented owners and staff. Although not anyone's fault, we had just a few issues. The hot tub heater did not work and had to be replaced (which they did as quickly as possible), the internet was intermittent for several days (someone came out and fixed that too) and the AC in the back bedroom was also spotty (again, sent someone asap to address). When we made the owners aware, they worked quickly to resolve and offered to pay for a nice family dinner. Also, a few little things like temperatures not legible on stove and grill, ice machine in freezer doesnt work, living room sofa a little worn. Given others reviews, I get the sense we just got unlucky with a few issues, and would not see this as a deterrant. We would certainly stay here again, and will always remember this as a special vacation together. Special thanks to Michele for her quick attention to issues, to Reuben the pool guy for going out of his way to try and make things work for us and sharing interesting Hawaii history."
