  • Nice Condo, Responsive Owner, GREAT POOL!

"Condo had everything we needed for a great stay on the Big Island. Very comfortable for my group of 5 (kids from age 8 through teens). Pool area a relaxing getaway - very nice. Was nice to have option to dine out without having to "leave" the condo area. And sunset views at the pool were amazing. Grayson replied instantly when I couldn't find the condo code - very helpful. Definitely 5 stars!"

  • Exactly As Advertised

"Anyone who reads the very accurate VRBO description of this ohana, and then has an issue with what the property provides, has nobody to blame but himself. What you get is a clean and comfortable room in a quiet neighborhood with ample storage and functional middle-class facilities that provides excellent value for money. If you expect the Four Seasons, you've missed by about 3 seasons, but at 1/8 of the Four Seasons price, you're still way ahead. Our one complaint was that on those occasions when it rains, a rare but not unheard-of event, the entire outdoor seating area and mini-kitchen are useless. A small roof over the door, outside counter, and barbie would be very welcome on those occasions. If you have a late flight into Kona, or an early or late flight out, this is a fine place to spend a night or two to get in sync with your transport. Breakfast at Island Lava Java is another pleasant perk in Waikoloa Village. We enjoyed our stay, and would have no hesitation about staying there again."

  • Beautiful Retreat

"This small comfortable home has all the essentials for a perfect rest and relaxation get-a-way. This was actually a "stay-cation" for us as we live on the Big Island. The landscape, view of the ocean, and surrounding pasture was beautiful. I personally love the kitchen, with all the essentials including cast iron Lodge pans, sharp knives and perfect counter height. The outside table was lovely for dinners and it is very very quiet peaceful. We loved being able to star gaze out the skylights and out the top barn doors. The outside tub and shower were awesome. We enjoyed hiking to town, to the pool to swim, to "town" for look around, and hiking down to the overlooks - amazing scenary. We kind of stayed put, but there are great restraurants like Bamboo and Sushi Rock in Hawi, or just over the hill to Waimea. The communication is excellent with the owners, property manager, and caretaker. We would have liked to stay longer. I would highly recommend this special spot."

  • Great spot for a large group in Kohala area without Kohala prices

"My family and my wife's brother's family rented this unit for 10 nights. The layout of the condo is a great for a large group or two families. When we arrived we found the condo clean and ready for our stay. The unit is epuipped with all of kitchenware you will need to prepare and serve your meals. A huge bonus is that the unit has a propane grill right off the kitchen. Also, a full service supermarket is within a 2 minute drive or 10 minute walk. If you havent been to the Big Island or are unfamiliar with Waikoloa Village, this is a great location. Although you are off the water you are within minutes of the best beaches on the island (Hapuna, Beach 69, and the beach at Mauna Kea resort). Additionally, Waikoloa Village has a very nice golf course that is reasonably priced that is close to the condo. All in all, this condo is a good value in a good location."
