  • Very clean and quiet condo

"The condo was exactly like the pictures. there was more to the condo then the pictures were able to show. Master bath was huge, lanai was very nice and large. Kitchen was excellent. Even on Windy days we could sit on the lanai, because of the screens you did not feel the wind. The owner was very easy to communicate with and very helpful. The nicest condo we have stayed at. If you want to be close to golfing and beaches this is a perfect spot. Walking distance to shopping, and restaurants. The only downfall may be, to some, (not us as we had been to the island before) the fact that you aren't in the vibrant part of the island ie Kona etc."

  • Great condo...private but close to wonderful beaches and good locations for day excursions

"My husband, 10-year-old son and I stayed here for eight nights early April. It was our first visit to Hawaii and I would recommend to anyone staying in Hawaii for more than three nights (don't know who would bother flying all that way for fewer) to NOT stay in a hotel. It is possible to do Hawaii on somewhat of a budget...but staying in a condo/villa where you can prepare meals is crucial...eating out is EXPENSIVE! This condo is lovely and HUGE! Much more than enough room for the three of us. The kitchen was well-equipped with appliances, dishes, utensils, some staples...sugar, spices, etc. Appliances are high-end, place is clean and nicely decorated. We felt very much at home and relaxed and looked forward to our evenings in the condo. Plenty of beach/pool towels in the unit and the washer and dryer were great to have...we were able to pack very light. I've seen apartments that could fit in the master bath! The location is awesome. Beaches are a very short drive away...could even take a longer stroll to the beach if you wanted. You are VERY close in this complex (The Fairways) to Mauna Kea...which has the BEST beach and no crowds. It's a 5-star hotel beach and they only give out 40 public parking passes a day...we always got there before 8:30 am and always got in...that's about as late as I'd go...even earlier on the weekends. Good snorkeling...we brought our own masks and snorkels but there were some at the condo...and fins, which was nice. There was a boogie board to use as well...my son used it the whole time. Just about every day we'd eat breakfast, go to Mauna Kea, come back to the condo for lunch, then head out exploring other beaches/points of interest. So nice to come back to the condo in the evening and have a swim in the lovely and never-crowded pool. The pool, grounds, and units themselves are all well-maintained and very quiet. You're a quick drive to the shops at Waikoloa and Kona is an easy drive. Shawn was great to deal with...always responded to my emails/texts quickly with questions about the unit/area. We will definitely visit the Big Island again...ideally would get this unit, or at least another in The Fairways...and definitely get something through Shawn. Thanks so much!"

  • Great property at mauna lani

"We stayed at this property 8/8/2014-8/13/2014. Dennis the owner was amazingly accommodating and understanding with our plan changes due to hurricane Iselle and Julio. The property is well maintained and can easily accommodate a party of 8. We love the location, snorkeling at the private beach was awesome and the local supermarket is very well stocked. We would definitely recommend this property to our friends and family. Can't wait to return. Thank you Dennis for a wonderful stay."

  • Hawaiian bungalow

"The bungalow is in a great location, with a public beach just feet from the front door and the little town minutes away. Even though it was public beach, it felt private because of the elevated private patio area that is 20 feet from the house. It was great for watching sunsets. The house itself is a bit more rustic than I expected but as long as the trades blow, it is comfortable. It is well stocked with water gear like snorkels and chairs. The interior is nice, again in a rustic sort of way, and has a very usable kitchen. We cooked in mostly, but had a great dinner at the very nearby Hapuna Beach Prince resort. Overall we actually enjoyed the stay at Lalamilo more than our second experience at a resort elsewhere in the islands."
