  • Beautiful view

"This house was a great home base to our vacation. There was plenty of room and a wonderful view. Rod was very accommodating and helpful. Next time we visit the big island we will be looking to stay again. Thanks!"

  • Best Deal on VRBO

"The pictures of the house do not do it justice. It is beautifully decorated, roomy, and immaculate inside and out. The location is the best part. My family and friends were amazed every day by the activities just minutes away. Place of refuge had clear clean water for snorkeling, tons of fish, turtles, eels and beautiful coral arches you could swim through($3 for parking) Kayaking by Captian Cooks monument where we got to swim with 30+ dolphins, even babies($60 for a 2 person kayak). The boys favorite activity was cliff jumping, 30 foot cliffs, crazy fun.(free). Restaurants around town were wonderful and affordable, but the house had such a great kitchen we enjoyed most of our meals there. The weather is cooler than the resort area by at least 10 degrees, making it just perfect. I can't thank Candi enough for her hospitality. She takes the time to point out the highlights of the area so you can plan your stay. We had 5 teenagers, and they said it was the best vacation they have ever had! That is the most amazing thing of all!"

  • Private Hawaiian Guest home in South Kona

"The guest house is beautifully appointed with a full kitchen and views of the Pacific Ocean from most rooms. Dan has all the bells and whistles for you with TV programs and music options. He and his team take cleanliness seriously, which was another great asset. There are gorgeous floors and ceiling fans everywhere. He has built a porch/deck the length of the house to have views of the water constantly. We had breakfast or lunch out on the porch and cocktails to watch the sunset. The sunsets were the most beautiful ever, with the sun setting over a point. We took pictures nightly of the sunsets. If you are a water person, you will love this house and the location. ....If you want privacy and independence much different from a hotel experience, then this large 5 acre property is for you. The owner is very accommodating and helpful with whatever requests you may have for an enjoyable stay. Whether there are two in your party or twelve, this is the property for your group. The house is so centrally located we visited different local beaches daily to snorkel. There is a hike down to the Captain Cook monument and then you are rewarded with snorkeling beautiful reefs. Just bring lots of water for the hike back up the mountain. With a short 5 minute walk you have access to a large bay. This is such a popular area, there are daily trips via kayaks, and many boats have daily outings to Captain Cooks monument to snorkel the reef. We ended each day with a dip in the pool overlooking the Bay. The morning we had to leave, we even walked down to the water to take our last swim in the Pacific. We will definitely go back to this beautiful home for another vacation."

"My husband, myself and our 4 children (ages 14, 9, 9 and 9) enjoyed the most incredible week at the Ili Ili Beach house! The house was clean and ready when we arrived. The cleaning staff was very friendly. The beds were very comfortable and easily fit all 6 of us. The house was well stocked with basic supplies. Can we talk about the location though?!? The view was awesome! It was an extremely quiet area though not remote. The access to the basically private beach was an absolute plus! With Tess providing all the equipment, we were able to save rental money and enjoy great kayaking and snorkeling (best snorkeling we found on the island) right out the back door. The island in general is not as convenient to get around as other islands (for example, the closest grocery store was 15-20 minutes away one-way and you have to carry your trash to a dump site only on specific days) but this house made you easily forget all of that! We have not stopped raving to our friends about this house and would not hesitate to book it again!"
