"This property is easily one of the best places we've ever stayed in any location. You get all the luxury of a 5-star resort and you don't have to share it with anyone! No one to interrupt your sleep or get in the way of your views. Just 5 acres of privacy. You don't even get the well-known Hawaiian rooster noise...just some wild goats below you. It was very easy to book with Dennis and he made us feel welcomed in his home. The amenities are great and the washer/dryer much-appreciated after 2 weeks in Hawaii. Really easy to get to Volcanoes National Park (no traffic in that direction) and there are some great restaurants within a 20-30 minute drive. We would absolutely rent this property again."

"We spend part of our vacation on Big Island at Davia and Augusts place. Arriving, we found ourselves surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden. This garden must be explored as it is so rich and a real composition! There is something to discover at every corner e.g. nice sculptures, a seating area. The room and the outdoor kitchen are comfortable, cozy and spotless clean. Very impressive is the view from the private lanai: the ocean in front of you. It is the perfect location to watch the sunset or just relax and enjoy the surrounding.
The hospitality we experienced was really exceptional and we felt warmly welcome.
August made great suggestions on where to go. We found everything needed for a great day at the beach: beach chairs and towels as well as snorkeling gear. There are several beaches close by where snorkeling is possible.
Highly recommended! We would love to come back some day."

"A friend and I rented the upstairs apartment to serve as home base for exploring beautiful Hawaii both below and above water. We knew it'd be farther from the dive shops in town but also a bit closer to the national park, and wow, was the beauty of the location well worth the drive. Our hosts were wonderfully accommodating of our late arrival flights and had fresh fruit and macadamia nuts in the kitchen to welcome us. Their adorable dogs would come up the stairs to say hello in the mornings. Though we were away much of the day, we loved coming back to a comfortable abode to cook dinner, watch the sunset, and reflect on the day's adventures to the songs of frogs and birds, plus the cute geckos on the lanai. The rental had everything we needed, from wi-fi and kitchen appliances to beach towels, drying racks, a cooler, and even a jacket I found in the closet that saved me from a cold boat ride one night. I will be recommending it to my friends and would definitely visit again."

"My wife and I stayed with Carol for 2 nights and we really enjoyed the property. She is a very welcoming, unobtrusive host. The property was clean and well-maintained, offering all of the small things we may need within the unit such as guide books, sunscreen, scuba gear, towels, etc. as well as one of the real bonuses, which was fresh coffee from the property and it was very good. The view is beautiful and the property ripe with fruit, flowers and coffee. Will definitely visit again if we find ourselves on the Big Island."
