"My wife and I recently spent 7 wonderful days in Hawaii and stayed in Marci's dream house. The house is immaculate, great size and totally furnished with everything you could need. From the moment we arrived Chuck and Marci were there to greet us and helped us to get settled in. There is a nice size yard with lush surroundings and patio furniture for relaxing under palm trees. Also provided were snorkle gear, ice chest, boogie boards and other items. We will be coming back in the near future for sure. We could not have asked for a nicer host couple to make sure our vacation was all we hoped it to be. I suggest Marci's dream house to anyone wanting a nice out of the way place to stay. Maholo Chuck and Marci!! Scott and Pat Wetton"

  • Celebrity status house on Big Island

"The house exceeded our expectations on a few fronts: The view from the top of Kona is breathtaking. It appears that the house is well known among the locals because of that. Expect to be recognized as the Dolphin Kona houseguests throughout Kona community The main house it is in excellent shape; the floor plan is contemporary, beautiful, spacious, comfortable - 13 of use never felt crowded or constrained - whether congregating, having a dinner, or just relaxing all over the place. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you might need for cooking and eating. Between the two buildings comprising the property the sleeping arrangements were completely adequate, and this is an understatement, for all 13 of us. There is abundance of linens, bath towels, and beach towels. Everything, including all appliances and electronics - was in perfect order. All baths, hot tub, fridge, washer/dryer, microwave, coffee maker - you name it, we had no problem with it whatsoever. Dan The Man(ager) of the property is very attentive, personable, and is in a stand-by mode at all times to address any of the inconveniences or concerns you might have. Mobile connection might be spotty, although Verizon customers amongst us did not experience any problems. WiFi works quite well, we did not register any interruptions. Overall - kudos to the owner and Property Manager for maintaining the house in perfect welcoming order."

  • Great Location & Amenities

"We've stayed in the Kealekekua Bay Area several times and enjoyed these accommodations more than others we've stayed at (this was our first stay at Aloha House). The house was clean and well cared for and met all our expectations from the description on the VRBO website. We prefer the 'local' flavor of the area as well as the peacefulness of the neighborhood. The locals are very friendly and the sites available in the area offer activities of both historical and naturalistic interest. We typically swim with the dolphins in the bay and the place of refuge. We also charter a trip with John Float at Dolphin Essence. We recommend the Sunrise Cafe just south of the top of Napoopoo Road, and the Keii Cafe just north of Nopoopoo Road. We also recommend Lava Java in Kailua Kona and Merrimen's up at Waikoloa. The snorkeling at the little Park just down the road is spectacular with the marine life, turtles and the occaissional dolphin pods. All in all a wonderful trip and look forward to future vacations at Aloha House."

"My wife and I met our son, daughter-in-law and grandson for a vacation and it was beyond our expectations. The house is beautiful, well maintained and everything you'll need for a wonderful stay. At the house, most of our time was spent on the lanai because of the views. Sunsets to enjoy, meals cooked on the grill, snorkling, swimming, walking, listening to music and falling asleep to the sound of ocean's waves. Great location, cool family history to this home and you can believe the pictures because it is what it is - AWESOME!"
