  • Fantastic place!!! Would absolutely stay here again

"My wife and I stayed @ the Kona Coffee estate from 3/5 to 3/10. The location is fantastic. The ocean views are amazing and the whole vibe is totally relaxing. The directions to the place were spot on although finding the correct left turn was a bit of challenge at first in the dark but after that, easy. Shay the dog was great. She's a very nice dog and we thoroughly enjoyed her company. I hope I'm that mobile when I get her age. The unit was light and airy with beautiful ocean views from the kitchen and bedroom. The area's animals (wild chickens, pigs and turkeys) were cool. Be aware the chickens start making noise at 4:30 and we were awake by 6:30 typically. No biggie but something for folks to be aware of. This is a great value for the money and I highly recommend it."

  • A Real Gem - beyond all expectations, we loved the experience.

"The views are outstanding, the location is private, the house has a soothing feel to it, everything worked very well, high end appliances etc. Woke up to bird song and rooster crows every morning, poured a kona coffee and took in the views of the coast. Wouldn't have changed a thing. Will definitely recommend to friends and family."

  • Wonderful accommodations and hosts!

"I enjoyed a week stay at Kona View Estate in August 2014 with my wife and two children, ages 12 and 14. The house is lovely, clean, modern, and really had everything we could possibly need during our stay. It is spacious and very relaxing to spend time both inside the house and out by the pool and Lanai. When we weren't traveling around Kona, we enjoyed lounging in the house, where we also made most of our meals in the well stocked and inviting kitchen and outside grill. It was really just a wonderful week on the Big Island! As for our hosts, Randy and Atsuni were warm and gracious while respectful of our privacy. They answered any questions we had, delighted us with some delicious Cappuccino, and made our stay most enjoyable. Atsuni also does Rolfing and Gyrotonic body work in the downstairs gym. My wife worked with her for a separate but reasonable fee and loved the experience. In all, we had a wonderful stay at Kona View Estate and would absolutely come back. It is important to note that the house is in Holualoa so beaches are a drive. Kona View is best for visitors who are looking for a relaxing stay that is close by but away from the busier parts of the island. Coming from the bustle of a big city, we were very happy getting away and enjoyed the relative quiet and the stunning views from our Lanai. We would head over to the Beaches, Volcano, or into downtown Kona but really cherished the serene beauty of this home. Our family certainly enjoyed a restorative and lovely week there. Thanks so much Randy & Atsuni, and hope to see you again!"

  • Our week at the cottage

"We arrived on a rainy early afternoon & Wayne was promptly in the driveway to greet us with two over-sized umbrellas for our use, not only there but to take into town (luckily the rain subsided after that day). We instantly felt welcome & at home in the cottage. The pictures you see are exactly what you get. The only part missing is the ambiance of the property, that understandably so, doesn't translate well over the computer. We were just stunned by the views and how at peace we immediately felt. Even the smallest of details are met. Like, motion lights for when you come home after the sun has set, guiding you back to the cottage. There is dishware, servingware, wine opener, all the utensils you will need are provided. There are also plenty of towels as well as beach towels for your use. Everything was immaculately clean, comfy bed, cute table for two, mini fridge, coffee maker, it's all there! The porch has two seats to look over the beautiful view and thoughtfully a tiki torch with citronella to keep the bugs away is right there. We slept so soundly and drifted off to the sounds of the insects singing their hearts out. There is no AC in the cottage but that should be the least of your worries. Leaving a couple windows open at night brings in the most pleasant of breezes. We were able to talk with both Wayne & Sidnie, they are both just the best! They're superb hosts. The atmosphere they've created is one that is relaxed & welcoming. Their dog Sam is the sweetest guy. He came to greet us in the mornings and upon our return from town each day, was there to say "hi". Their horses Gilda & Epo (hope that's right!) are a mother & son duo who are magnificent creatures with so much beauty. Gilda even treated us to her tricks! If you're looking for a more tranquil, private experience then this is the spot for you! You can't find this sort of peace at any hotel. It is about a 15 min drive down to Kona and is well worth it. After a couple of days we felt like experts of the roads. It's very close to several coffee farms which is a great tour to take. We're so pleased with our stay here and we hope to return in the future. Thank you Wayne & Sidnie we are so happy to have had the opportunity to stay at your cottage. This vacation we took was nothing short of a true blessing and taking the drive up to the cottage each day was simply wonderful. Many thanks to you! Hope to see you soon! Alicia & Fidel"

It's Not Hawaii without Kona Coffee...
