"My husband, infant and I spent a week in Kona for my brother's wedding at the Royal Kona and this condo met our every need. We've stayed at many VRBOs in the past and this was by far the best place we've stayed yet. The pictures do not adequately capture the size of the rooms or the lanai. The rooms in the condo are spacious and tastefully decorated. All the furniture was incredibly comfortable, including the beds. We particularly enjoyed the rocking chairs on the lanai. We spent a lot of time on the lanai (which was huge, had a nice breeze, and had a view of the pool and ocean) having coffee, playing cards, and reading. The unit was very clean. The building was quiet and is well-maintained.
The location is fantastic - within walking distance to a ton of places to eat and a short drive to Safeway/Target/Walmart, beaches, golf courses, etc..
We took advantage of the community grills, tables and pool house in the pool area for a mini-BBQ with other family members - which we had all to ourselves.
The kitchen was well stocked with supplies. The front closet had towels, coolers, bug spray and sunhats.
The owner responded promptly, answered all of my questions, and even arranged for a pack-n-play to be available for us. One of the owners stopped by to make sure we didn't need anything and recommended some great beaches for us to visit with our little one.
I would absolutely recommend this unit to anyone visiting Kona."

Close to Town, Close to the Ocean - Just what we were hoping for.
"My wife and I just took our first visit to the Big Island and were looking for a nice comfortable place close to the ocean and within walking distance to to village of Kailua-Kona. This rental was perfect on all counts.
It was clean and comfortable, well supplied with kitchen utensils, appliances (loved the blender - the home-made Pineapple Margaritas were fantastic) and supplies. Having a washer and dryer and Wi-Fi in the unit is also very convenient. The owners have replaced the bathtub/shower combination with a nice large walk-in shower which was real nice touch - nicely done with beautiful tile. The view of the ocean from the Lanai was just as it was pictured on the website and was perfect during our morning coffee/breakfasts. The sound of the ocean in the background at night was pretty awesome as well.
The pool/spa was secure and close to our unit. There are 4 large gas grills in the pool-patio area which many guests and residents took advantage of for their evening meals. The area was cleaned every morning and there is a great view of the ocean from the pool area. Very picturesque and very relaxing.
The procedure for registering with the front desk was quick and easy. It was great to have parking off of the main street which was close to the front door of our unit, well illuminated, and safe.
The owners we contacted for this rental were great. They responded to all our inquiries in a timely fashion before our departure and even answered a couple of questions we had during our stay by email.
We had a WONDERFUL time and would definitely return to this unit again should we decide to return to Kailua-Kona at some future date."

"My husband and I stayed at this beautiful, clean and very well equipped home in March of 2015. We were there to
celebrate our 46th Anniversary. We had an amazing time in Kona (our first time there). The home was more than
homey and comfortable, the king size bed was so comfy, being able to smoke on the lanai made it easier than
having to leave the property. We did spend most to our time on the lanai, enjoying the birds and the garden.
Ask Barb for a tour of her garden, she has some unusual and beautiful plants.
We did have a problem finding the place the night we arrived, it is so dark in Hawaii at night and the street
signs need some updating, so use google map, or a GPS if you arrive at night, and are old like us. Ask Bruce for
information on Captain Cook Trading for excellent discounts on MAC nuts and KONA coffee. We would love to
go again next year, or sooner."
