"We enjoyed our extended stay at the Coconut Condo this summer. It was comfortable and the condo complex pool and exercise room were nice. The condo is very convenient to the village of Kailua-Kona, and we walked to the village almost every evening. (We have fitbits and had to get our steps in!) Family loved the nearby beaches!
The appliances worked well and the beds were comfortable. The art is really interesting. The lanai is a good place to sit at the end of the day and watch the sunsets."

"This trip to The Sugar Shack was the third time I have visited this property. My family and I feel so at home here and enjoy being able to just cross the street for body surfing and snorkeling. Being so close to town is very handy and watching the beautiful sunsets is wonderfully relaxing. Billy is very quick to respond to any problem you may have and I'm already looking forward to returning soon. My grandkids love the pool and waterfall and I know we will be making a lot more memories at this special property."

"Our family of 10, my husband, our daughters, their husbands and our 4 grandkids, thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day stay at Hale MeleKai. Simmy lived nearby and was able to help us get settled in and answered any questions we might have. Our two 15 year-old teens and our 11 year-old boys, (all cousins) enjoyed having the “dorm style” back room to themselves and the sofa bed in the living room worked out fine for our third couple. We ate all of our “at-home” meals on the lanai in the front of the home. I especially enjoyed the home’s many ceiling fans on the warm, humid days. We all snorkeled several times at nearby Kahalu’u Beach and watched beautiful sunsets a few times at the beach access across the street up from the house. My daughter appreciated having the use of a surf board and surfed every day except the day we all spent the entire day enjoying the Volcano National Park. During our last evening in Kona we were all thrilled to snorkel at night with the manta rays up at the nearby Sheraton Hotel. The “Fair Wind” night snorkel with the mantas” was amazing and included soup & buns & hot chocolate after the snorkel. We would definitely recommend it. This was our family’s first visit to Kona, and Hale MeleKai was the perfect home in a great location from which to discover Kona’s unique qualities and sites."

The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was very happy with the location.
I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
the unit has everything you need. All that you need to get are the personal stuff like food and I recommend costco. You are across from Kahaluu beach which is nice for snorkeling. This place is also in close proximity to many nearby destinations."
