"Spent Spring break with my daughter, grandchildren and another family from the neighborhood in Redmond WA, at Steve's home in Kailua-Kona and had the most amazing time. The house has a great floor plan which works perfectly for 2 families. The large rooms and bathrooms were very comfortable, the kitchen had plenty of equipment to cook and eat our meals at the house, the evenings were wonderful out on the lanai. Being across the road from the best snorkeling beach I've ever been to was magnificent, it was like swimming in an aquarium. Steve was so accommodating, and very generous with his fig trees! We are looking forward to returning as soon as we can."

"Our family of 10, my husband, our daughters, their husbands and our 4 grandkids, thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day stay at Hale MeleKai. Simmy lived nearby and was able to help us get settled in and answered any questions we might have. Our two 15 year-old teens and our 11 year-old boys, (all cousins) enjoyed having the “dorm style” back room to themselves and the sofa bed in the living room worked out fine for our third couple. We ate all of our “at-home” meals on the lanai in the front of the home. I especially enjoyed the home’s many ceiling fans on the warm, humid days. We all snorkeled several times at nearby Kahalu’u Beach and watched beautiful sunsets a few times at the beach access across the street up from the house. My daughter appreciated having the use of a surf board and surfed every day except the day we all spent the entire day enjoying the Volcano National Park. During our last evening in Kona we were all thrilled to snorkel at night with the manta rays up at the nearby Sheraton Hotel. The “Fair Wind” night snorkel with the mantas” was amazing and included soup & buns & hot chocolate after the snorkel. We would definitely recommend it. This was our family’s first visit to Kona, and Hale MeleKai was the perfect home in a great location from which to discover Kona’s unique qualities and sites."

"Our family of eight had a great time at the "Stay in Heaven." There are three private bedrooms on the first floor all with their own full bathrooms. Then there are two bedrooms up stairs with twin beds in them (total of 5 twin beds). There was plenty of room for everyone. We loved the privacy the house offered too. Our granddaughters age 1 and 3 could be in the back bedrooms sleeping while the crew was out on the lanai making all kinds of noise. The lanai was where we gathered in the evenings, playing card games etc. There are nice tv's in all the bedrooms and lanai. The foosball table was a major draw for our compeitive family. The town of Kona is walkable but there is also a wiki wiki type bus that can pick you up and drive you into town. Kitchen is well stocked, two washing machines, two dryers too. Great time, great memories."

"No complaints! We've stayed at Ali'i Cove for the last three Christmas holidays and have never been disappointed. Great location for walking or running along Ali'i Drive. There are tennis courts at the Royal Kona Resort across the street and we were able to play for free by signing up for the morning round robins. Close to shops and restaurants. Great snorkelling beaches to the south and awesome body surfing ones to the north. The condo had everything we needed."
