  • Great place to stay in Kona

"Great home for a large group. We were 11 in total with 2 couples and 7 teenagers/young adults, on two floors of living space. Great snorkeling spot across the street. And Ali'i Drive is a busy shopping strip for those who enjoy the shopping scene. Great luau down the street at the Royal Kona Resort. More beach equipment can be rented out at affordable prices closeby. We really enjoyed Steve's presence, availability and accomodating nature. He was always around to answer our questions and to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy his home."

  • Great location

"Overall I was very happy with my stay at the Condo, The Property manager Bob was great and helpful. Ask him about the local things to do and you can't go wrong. The location was quiet even with Alii'i drive right outside the door. Sunsets from the Lanai were pretty awesome. I'd take my morning cup of coffee across the street and sit by the Church and enjoy the morning surf. The condo has all the basics. I didn't give it an excellent rating due to the water pressure wasn't enough to get the water to run the Shower in the guest bath. So we had to share the Shower in the Master bath. Paid for a 2 bed/2bath and got a 1.5 bath instead. Still overall was a great stay."

  • Beautiful condo!

"This condo was wonderful. It had everything we needed to make our vacation complete. It is in a great location on Alii Dr. Far away enough for the crowds and noise to not be an issue, but a short drive to shopping and restaurants. The top floor of the building was very quiet and peaceful. The building itself also felt very secure and safe. Having the washer and dryer in the unit was a fantastic time and money saver. The breeze that blows through the condo is so relaxing. It was a very short walk to the beach and fantastic snorkeling. We saw turtles every day we were out! We would definately stay here again on any future visit to the Big Island."

  • Relax on a lovely lanai, listen to the waves, watch the sunset through the palms-Paradise!

"This wonderful home was perfect for our mixed group of 5 family members and it was located about 4 minutes walking from one of the best and most convenient snorkeling beaches on the island. Kahaluu Beach Park was the reason we chose this area and we went snorkeling at least twice a day...usually rewarding ourselves for a nice workout with a Mango Shave Ice at the food truck! The house was EXACTLY as described in the literature and the pictures are perfect representations of the house and property. Simmy, the owner, was so nice and very informative. Location is great-Kailua-Kona with shopping and dining options is just down the road, there is a shopping center a three minute drive away with shops, eateries, movie theater, farmers market on Saturdays, and a grocery store. Remember to take your shopping bags as you will pay for them in many stores. Sam Choy's Kai Lanai is above the shopping center and we ate multiple meals there during our two weeks and enjoyed them all (the sunset is fabulous from the Lanai!) Speaking of Lanais...the one at the house was huge and we used the lounges A LOT and ate all our home meals at the dining table set up outside. The house is set back from the road, Alii Drive, a main thoroughfare, but don't let that worry you...the speed limits in Hawaii make mainlanders feel like they are driving backwards and you won't hear horns unless you are an instant from actually being hit...seriously...horns are just not "done" in the road is not intrusive on the peace of the property. There are rental houses on both sides, but we still felt we had all the privacy we needed. (Vacant land behind the house) There is also a fresh water wading pool on the property which really helped alleviate some of the heat and humidity, especially dipping your toes in with a frosty beverage in hand. We stocked up on some Costco items, which is on the way from the airport, and then hit the farmers market the next morning for fresh produce and fish since it was Saturday. The owners have another lovely house next door that we got to see and as far as I can tell is just as marvelous as our rental. As the day wanes, so does the traffic, and you can hear the waves clearly from the lanai, the birds in the morning are lovely, and the scents of the island flowers are all free in the rental cost. We could not have asked for a better appointed property and it is definitely on our list for next time!"

Live like a local when you rent a vacation property at Kahaluu condo rentals on the picturesque Kona Coast on the big island of Hawaii. Whether you choose to reserve a condo or a private home from Kahaluu vacation homes, you'll find that renting a property is far more beneficial than staying at a crowded and overpriced hotel. See Hawaii from a Different Vantage Point

In addition to miles of pristine, sandy beaches and an expanse of warm, azure ocean waters lining the coast of Kona, visitors can also experience the many hidden attractions that the big island has to offer. For instance, Kings Trail Rides O' Kona (located at 81-6420 Mamalahoa Highway just south of the Kahaluu region) offers horseback riding tours for both novice and experienced riders near Kahaluu condo rentals. This company boasts a trail ride that eventually reaches the Captain Cook Monument situated in Kealakekua Bay. Here, riders are able to disembark and swim or snorkel before enjoying a satisfying lunch outdoors.

Water Fun for Everyone

Staying at one of the many private properties available with Kona Coast vacation rentals affords travelers the flexibility to enjoy Hawaii on their own schedule. Sleep in late at the Kahaluu vacation homes and mosey along to the beach when you're ready. Another option is to wake up early and take part in one of the many ocean tours offered up and down the coast of Kona. Ocean Safaris Kayak Adventures launches daily kayaking tours from Keauhou Bay and takes participants south to Kuamoo Bay, stopping to explore a breathtaking sea cave when conditions permit. Whether you're a beach, ocean, or animal lover, you'll fall in love with the Kona Coast.
