"This is the best vacation for us so far. The home was beautifully maintained, and clean. With two lanais, outdoor living was perfect. We ate all our meals on the lanai, and the ambiance and view during sunset is superb. Although our budget included room for some restaurant meals, we found we preferred the lanai."

"Stayed here for the month of February and was very pleased with the unit. I even booked it again for a couple weeks in 2016. I stayed at more expensive units in Kona before but decided to try this unit for the price and the location.
The complex only has about ten units in them and some are than others. This unit just had a upgrade so it was very nice inside. The living rooom is kind of a mess as if you want to watch tv you have to watch it at an angle from the couch but never watched tv much so didn't matter. The kitchen had everything you need but been part of the living room got a little crowded for two. Bedroom was a nice size for a one bedroom and had a comfortable mattress. Bathroom was also a good size with large shower. The unit has an electric grill since there is only a charcoal barbeque outside. The electric grill worked great as we cooked burgers, steaks, meatloaf and chicken wings on it and they all came out great at a medium high setting. It says an indoor grill but we only used it outside. Also there were plenty of towels for us to use.
Now for a few negatives. There is no pool and the beach across the road was a little on the rough side but the snorkel beach is only a three minute drive away. Like I said earlier the tv viewing is a little mixed up to to square footage limitations. You can get a few bugs in the suite but that happens in all suites in Hawaii unless your in a high rise. Magic Sand beach had washed away due to high surf and was a little on the rough side. When I first drove up to the unit it looks a little run down but its great inside .
The view from the lanai is fantastic and we watched the whales every day and every other day we saw spinner dolphins. Stayed at the Sea Village before and the view here was better and it was about $80 cheaper a night.
Kathie West was great to deal with fro Go West Travel and the maintenance man was easy to get hold of if you had any problems.
Remember you get what you pay for and if you want a bigger and better unit with a pool it will cost you more but this unit is great. I really enjoyed it at the Kona White Sands and that is why I booked it again. I have been to Hawaii about 30 times and stayed in many different places in Kona but for the price and quality of the unit this place gets a high rating."

"We were visiting for our daughter's wedding and housing several adults and children. This house was perfect--it has everything. Large open spaces, an amazing great room, large kitchen equipped with everything, comfortable furnishings, great pool, great parking. We rented from Tommy during our last stay on the Big Island and once again, he did not disappoint. The house is easy to find and located in a safe, quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed walking around the grounds, looking at the beautiful tropical plants and fruit trees. Between the house and the downstairs apartment and the freezer on the lanai, we had plenty of room for food storage for our large extended group to come over for dinner. Tommy lives a couple of doors down and checked in on us to make sure everything was okay. I would not want to rent from anyone else for future visits to the Kona area. Thanks for another fabulous stay!"

The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was very happy with the location.
I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
This is a lovely property just south of Kailua/Kona (5 min drive / 25-30 min walk). The bbq and pool (x2; one fresh, one salt) areas are good and you can get awesome sunsets from the beach area. The condo was a good size for a couple, but I think there was a fold out bed in the living area as well if needed. Great lanai overlooking the grounds and a bit of an ocean view. Kona was a good choice for us as the township was quite pretty, with good bars and restaurants. It was a long day driving to and from the volcanos national park but well worth it (definitely stay for the night time sight of the active volcano!) and Kona seemed nicer than Hilo. Overall a lovely place to stay on the big island!"
