  • Highly Recommended Oceanfront House on Kona

"Richard & Gloria, Thank you so much for sharing your oasis. We loved staying there--the view is just spectacular, very clean, comfy beds, everything worked! My sister & her husband joined us & there was plenty of room for all to have their own privacy yet be together. Kitchen was so well equipped but would like more light for cooking at night. Saw the turtles right out off the huge lanai. Appreciated the tour when we arrived. Have already booked for next year!"

  • View to die for !

"Our family spent 2 glorious weeks at Keauhou Hideaway over the Holiday period. The view from the front lanai and decks is gorgeous ... unspoiled vistas of the Ocean as far as the eye can see. Property is well kept, nicely laid out (particularly with the 3 bedrooms separated ), quiet as we only heard 1 truck go by on our last day, and a yard that is a quiet oasis for all to enjoy. Great attention has been spent with the various types of fruit trees planted here (lime, orange, fig, grapefruit, etc). Ask Nancy the skilled gardener for a guided tour of the property. Pool and hot tub were a hit with the family. All meals were spent on the covered lanai while we enjoyed the views, both during the day and late afternoon sunsets. We wold love to return soon. Appreciate the time we had in paradise."

  • Interior as amazing as the exterior

"My husband and I entered Kee's beautiful home and truly had to stop and observe ALL the incredible attention to detail in decorating this warm home. The entrance boasts Chinese screens, Asian accents, large gong, big windows, African mahogany wood throughout, botanical prints, etc, etc. THEN, you head outside to the most amazing pool with incredible views out to the ocean. We barbequed 5 nights of our 8 nights, and sat under the setting sun blissed out and grateful for this lovely home rental. The house is PERFECT for two couples, the bedrooms are on opposite sides of the house allowing for privacy and down time from one another. The kitchen is large enough for four people to use at the same time without bumping into one another...when I got home to my lovely flat in San Francisco I realized how tiny my kitchen is! Kee must have had an interior decorator do this home...or else...she should be in the decorating business...it truly is a work of art... We did not want to leave, we will return, we are grateful. Thanks Kee and thanks Dani for welcoming us to your lovely Island."

  • Family gathering

"We were a family of 12, ages 5-67. This was a wonderful base to start out each day and end each night. We were very happy with the rooms, the location, the views, and of course the owner who was very helpful. There is enough space so if you wanted you could spread out and enjoy some quiet time, but you could also all hang out together..especially on the wonderful lanai. Everything in Kona is close, 20 min to Costco, Safeway, Walmart and of course some nice snorkelling spots. The following isn't complaints, just things you should be aware of; the pools are not heated, but the kiddie pool was warmer so thats where the kids spent most of their time. This may be different in the summer time. The roosters referred to in other reviews are noisy and they start in the middle of the night marking their territory by crowing. Bring ear plugs or just wait a couple nights and you will get used to it,mostly. There are ample kitchen supplies and condiments and the owner has extras that get left behind, like our sriracha sauce. I'd also recommend Google street view the drive from the airport as it is fun and twisty, respect the speed limits. It cools down nicely at night so no a/c is not a problem. We had a wonderful vacation in part because of this wonderful property and owner, and her cute "little" dog. Aloha and mahalo."
