"Well done upgrades to this fantastic oceanfront condo! Quiet and comfortable with lots of extras! Everything you need for a great vacation on The Big Island. Everything worked well and in great condition! All you have to do is go grocery shopping ( if you want to cook) and enjoy! Otherwise, this unit is just minutes away from great restaurants and bars!"

"Just returned from a 10 day stay at Maluhia Hale. We loved this home. It was clean and comfortable and just lovely. The quiet and privacy was perfect. The views were great to enjoy each day. I wish the neighbor across the street would cut his avocado tree as it totally blocks the actual ball of sun, this time of year, of the sunset. The sky is magnificent at any view but his tree doesn’t allow the full sunset “flash”. However, the egret living in the avocado tree is fun to watch leave and come home each day. You wake up each morning to a symphony of bird song. The pool and waterfall are beautiful and we enjoyed it very much. We even loved it in the rain. The tile is gorgeous and the workmanship is beautiful. The home was perfect for the needs of 3 adults. We had our own space and yet were able to enjoy being together for meals and pool time and movies. We had a rental car that allowed us to explore the island but it certainly isn't a must if you just want to enjoy the nearby beach and Ali'i Drive and downtown area. The younger adults totally enjoyed the proximity of both nearby beaches. This was our first foray into VRBO and it has sold us completely. We won't be going back to hotels or resorts if we can avoid it. This experience was the best!"

"This is a small studio, decorated perfectly. It has everything you would need, including an electric kettle for us Irish nationalist who need their tea in the morning and evening. Don't expect a full kitchen here though, it has a small fridge that fits under the counter, a microwave, and an electric plugin hot plate that isn't high powered enough to really cook, coupled with a lack of counter space, the kitchen area is really for breakfast cereal, pastries, cold sandwich stuff, maybe fry an egg. However the location is perfect, all restruants in downtown Kona are no farther then a 1 min walk outside the back gate. Yes the parking situation sucks, but again after our days activities like beach, scuba, volcano, we just parked the car for the evening and walked downtown, so the lack of parking was never an issue for us. Cool Place!!!"

"My husband I had a amazing stay at Jan's condo! The location was perfect Right on the water and short walk to town. Clean and very comfortable. The views are FANTASTIC!!! We enjoyed cocktails and sunsets on the lanai. coffee dolphins in the mornings. The condo is fully stock with beach essentials ( chairs, coolers, boogie boards, snorkels and more). The grounds are well maintained.
We grilled a few nights. Fresh fish from the harbor is a must! The fish market is called Bite Me. Kona Inn has a great Happy Hour with wonderful Mai Tais ( not to sweet) and pu up's.
Bongo bens has good food and is reasonably priced. Jackie Rays is good fine dinning. You'll find the locals here.
We can't say enough good things about our stay looking forward to our next stay.
