"It took us about a year of planning with a large family, we rented three home and Lako management Bill was able to accommodate us all. Lako Main, Ohana and House Next Door (HND) for the dates. Bill was very at attentive to my needs and our families safety. He was there in every step. Bill helped us make wonderful memories at Kona. I would highly recommend this place for large family!"Guest: Sarah S. Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 25, 2014View listing
"The grounds were beautiful and maintained daily. Very accurate photo on the web site. Everything about the grounds and the property seemed accurate. It is a great location if you have a car. The description to get to the condo once you are on the property, at night was a little difficult. The master bedroom curtains are not light blocking and you do start waking up with the dawn. The downstairs ac did not always keep the loft cool enough and upstairs ac unit didn't work and the window uptairs was stuck in the open position. The kitchen sink leaked water onto the floor when you washed dishes. The property managers seem willing to fix problems but I heard the sink was leaking before we got there. I loved the Acai Bowl restaurant right down the street for breakfast. The evening dinner historic cruise was great on the Body Glove. The Luau, Lava Legends was ok but I didn't like the food. I'd try another one. Driving up country was really fun going to cute shops, macadamia nut farm, coffee farms, south point and the volcanoe. Seeing the lava at night was a great idea. Hapuna Beach was wonderful and so was Kua Bay."Guest: new england Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: May 7, 2014View listing
"My family came to stay for a week and we couldn't have been happier. The home is beyond description. When we arrived I was crossing my fingers that the photos would be accurate, and I was thrilled to realize that they actually weren't; there's no way to capture how truly beautiful the home and setting are. All of the walls facing the water, and the ones facing the inner courtyard, are pocket doors -- they slide open completely to make it feel like you're one with the rocky lava beach and the crashing waves. As all of the other reviewers have noted, the home is impeccably furnished and designed down to the smallest details, and it's no exaggeration to say that every 20 or 30 minutes throughout the 6 days we were there, someone would sigh and say, "Omg this place is ridiculously beautiful". The flowers were exploding all around the property and literally every view of the house is a scenic one. We never got tired of it, and if anything, the only complaint is that it was so gorgeous we never wanted to go anywhere else. We went to see the volcano one day and all I wanted to do was to get back home. Ali and Kim were incredibly gracious, friendly and accommodating, making us feel more like friends than renters. Thank you for such a wonderful stay! Unforgettable."Guest: Lisa B. Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 1, 2014View listing
