  • Paradise!

"My wife and I stayed here for our anneversary and it was everything we could've wanted and more. The rates were excellent compared to everywhere else we looked. We arrived to a clean condo with all the amenities of home, washer/dryer, towels, extra linens, dishwasher, stocked pantry and cable with a DVR. The complex is nice and quiet, and you can walk right across the street to the best white sand beach on the island. For us this was way better than staying in one of the touristy resorts in the area. It's only a mile or so to all the cute shops and restraunts in kona. We have stayed at many other hotels and condos in the area but this one has been the best by far, we will be back."

"The grounds were beautiful and maintained daily. Very accurate photo on the web site. Everything about the grounds and the property seemed accurate. It is a great location if you have a car. The description to get to the condo once you are on the property, at night was a little difficult. The master bedroom curtains are not light blocking and you do start waking up with the dawn. The downstairs ac did not always keep the loft cool enough and upstairs ac unit didn't work and the window uptairs was stuck in the open position. The kitchen sink leaked water onto the floor when you washed dishes. The property managers seem willing to fix problems but I heard the sink was leaking before we got there. I loved the Acai Bowl restaurant right down the street for breakfast. The evening dinner historic cruise was great on the Body Glove. The Luau, Lava Legends was ok but I didn't like the food. I'd try another one. Driving up country was really fun going to cute shops, macadamia nut farm, coffee farms, south point and the volcanoe. Seeing the lava at night was a great idea. Hapuna Beach was wonderful and so was Kua Bay."

  • Fantastic Place

"Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The only thing about the whole stay (three weeks) was the pool was not maintained up to par. The pool person that came three times during our stay did not get the pool and its features corrected until the last day we were there, even though I sent e mails to the maintenance personnel."

  • A little piece of paradise

"We loved this place and our hosts. Our plane was late and we were met in the middle of the night by Steve and his flashlight, and that was the kind of care and attention, we experienced from both Steve and Laura Lynne during the two weeks we spent at The Palm Bungalow. It is on their property in a gated residential community. The bungalow is equipped with anything one could possibly need, a really comfortable king sized bed, indoor and outdoor showers, a swimming pool and hot tub, and a bbq. We lunched out and grilled most evenings. It is close to everything - a six minute walk down to the water and a five minute drive to Kailua-Kona. You do need a car though. This is first class accommodation with the added advantage of warm, caring hosts."
