Across from the snorkeling/turtle beach. Two week Hawaii vacation on the Big Island.
"Not knowing the island, we chose this Condo based on location, pictures, and availability and cost. It lived up to all decisions. The location got us in the water first thing everyday for snorkeling, walking to a beach is wonderful. But location to everything on the island was great. Just a few miles to restaurants and grocery stores and entertainment. The kitchen was equipped for the cooking we did, including use of the grill downstairs. The condo came equipped for water activities including coolers, chairs, mats, water/beach toys, etc. everything you need. The Condo was in beautiful shape with a Lanai that was used every morning for our coffee and breakfast.
I appreciate how easy it was to work with April and all the suggestions she made as to where we needed to go (restaurants) and events going on during our stay. She was available the whole time we were in Hawaii.
We also loved meeting other people in the Condos at the pool. It was never overcrowded, and we even ended up sharing end of day stories and recommendations and food with our new "friends"."

"We have been to Hawaii before, and have rented condos in Maui, but this condo at Kona Reef blew us away: spectacular view from the lanai, from where you can see swimming dolphins and enjoy picturesque sunsets.
The condo was well supplied with absolutely everything we might need - even paper towels and garbage bags (which we could never find in any of the previously rented condos). We really appreciated all beach supplies: masks, tubes, flippers, beach chairs and beach towels, thank you!
We had a problem with lanai door (it wouldn't lock safely), and when I contacted caretakers by e-mail they responded immediately, and the handyman was in our condo the next working day (we didn't have to sit and wait for him at home, as he had an access code to our condo).
Caretakers need to be thanked separately: we were stuck at the front door upon arrival, as we didn't realize the code panel was on the entrance door itself, while we tried to enter security code on the wall unit. I called them and they were very patient with me, although we arrived before check-in time (at 2:20 instead of 3 pm), and helped us to get in. The lady on the phone told me not to hang up until we managed to open the door, and she was sure we succeeded, that was a great relief.
Location of the condo is great - short drive to the beaches, walk distance (about 5-10 minutes) to the town center with shops and restaurants, very short 5 minutes drive to the closest grocery stores (there are 3 on Palani Drive) and 10 minutes drive to Walmart and Safeway (they are located side by side).
The parking is free and Wi-Fi worked perfectly well. The unit has A/C, although it was very loud and we didn't turn it on too often: ceiling fans were enough even in the heat of +32C (90F).
All in all it was a wonderful renting experience, and I would recommend this condo to everyone who travels to Kona."

"This was my first visit to the lovely Big Island so I had no idea where the best location to stay was and I must say we got really lucky with this place. The location is prime; literally right on the water and close enough to the restaurants and attractions yet not so close that you get all of the noise & foot traffic that comes along with being near the entertainment.
It's important to understand that this house is older and has history as it has been in the owner's family since the 60s so you must respect the things that come with older places. Still, it has great character, plenty of parking, towels, silverware, snorkel gear, and just about everything you need to enjoy your time in beautiful Kona.
Tim was great to work with and the house was in expected shape upon entrance.
So while this isn't the Four Seasons, if you want a quiet getaway where all you can hear are the crashing waves as you sit and watch the cruise ships disembark for the night, you've found your spot.
I will be remembering this place for future visits to Kona as we really appreciated our stay."
