"We enjoyed our stay here even though it was during a hot spell. The condo is nicely furnished, and has many items you can use without having to go out and buy stuff such as beach chairs, towels, and basic kitchen supplies. The lanai overlooks the pool and ocean, and stays shady. Nice pool area and great grilling area that is used by many, but no us (too lazy). Downtown of Kona is within walking distance, as are some good restaurants. Owner also provided books on Hawaii which are great resources to use while you're there."

"This beautiful home is suitable for anyone at any age traveling to kailua kona. Whether you're in your 20's wanting a good time, a family of 4, or someone who wants to enjoy what kona/big island has to offer with out the "hotel" enviroment. This house literally has everything that you would need for an Hawaiian vacation. The owner provided for us all the necessities that a tourist would need. From large beach towels to snorkeling gear. Basically all the things you would want to bring to the beach. The kitchen is fully stocked with with things you would have in your own home and more. The best part about this house is the backyard. Every morning we would wake up and sit out in the lanai and have something to drink the view from where the hot tub is breath taking. The bird feeder would always have at least 2 yellow/green colored birds munching away. You'll most likely be able to see wild chickens running around. One day we were in the lanai and we saw a mamma chicken walking around with a whole crew of little baby chicks. The tenant next door is very down to earth and very helpful but most importantly he respects your privacy which was great. After renting and getting to stay here for our vacation I Dont think I will ever book a hotel room ever again. I strongly suggest this house to anyone who really wants to relax and be comfortable after a long day of exploring the big island."

"I recently had the chance to go to the Big Island with friends. I had no previous experience there although I travel extensively. What a treat! I loved all the Big Island has to offer with all of its diversity. I especially enjoyed staying at the Casa de Emdeko, unit 134. It was ideally situated in the beautifully groomed grounds. Close to the private beach with an ocean view. It was quiet. The condo was well maintained and appointed and all the people I met there were delightful. Love, love the traditional gathering at the common lanai for drinks and pu pu's to watch the sun set. The condo has two pools, but I must admit I only used the salt water pool situated right on the ocean. Can't wait to go back."
