  • Relaxing stay

"We were a little nervous with this process as this was our first time renting a place from the owners. That said, we were very happy with the condo. It is just the right size for a couple or a small family. The furnishings are all very nice, the bed comfortable and appliances were sufficient. With access to restaurants within walking distance , there is very little need to cook , however if we wanted to grill we had access to the grills at the pool area. The grills are cleaned daily so there was no worry there. If we brought food back for later we were able to reheat in the microwave and store in the refrigerator. We had a coffee maker, toaster and a few other appliances And really did not need anything else. Pool access was easy as was the laundry area. Everything was clean and people were friendly. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly."

  • California to Kailua-Kona

"We spent 1 totally delightful week in this location. The condo was just wonderful! The location was great as we simply walked each morning to a different place for breakfast with gorgeous views! The condo was ALWAYS cool plus very nice Hawaiian decor. The island is laid-back, but lots to see and do: as in snorkel trip, para-sail, Luau, tour the oldest church in US, see the Palace across the street from the church, drive to the Volcano and have lunch overlooking the crater, drive North to the end of the highway, return and come back down through beautiful cattle ranches including the famous Parker Ranch. Golf galore, but expensive. Shopping centers nearby. Lunch at the Harbor...great beers and lunches! Did we love it...5 stars! Plus the owner couldn't have been nicer."

  • This will become your favorite Kona Ohana

"We have come to regard Plumeria House as our home away from home. Connie and Ed are wonderful hosts and make every effort to make us comfortable. The Ohana is well maintained, located in a quiet residential neighborhood, just high enough up the mountain to enjoy cool breezes but not too far to make driving a hassle. There is an evening sunset view and lighted streets for after dinner walks. There is always a secure feeling of being in a wonderful home."

  • Home away from home

"My wife and I had this wonderful condo to ourselves for six weeks (our guests we expected to stay with us for a few days were unable to come). This was our fifth visit to the Big Island and this is the best condo we have rented so far, and it would be hard to top it. This condo has some extra space in the living room and lanai than others in this complex if that is something you are looking for. For us, the master bed was very comfortable and the double vanity master bath is convenient if we were both getting ready at the same time. We never heard our neighbors at night and the surf sound is great for sleeping. The deep lanai with ample furniture was great for all of our outdoor meals and for lounging while reading a book or watching whales in the ocean and turtles in the lagoon below. We had one minor electrical issue which Holly promptly took care of, otherwise the rest of our stay was flawless. KBK cleans the grills every day and the grounds are kept clean. We like to walk every day and you can go either way on Ali'i Drive all the way into Kona or as far south as you care to walk (Kahalu'u Beach is within easy walking distance). For a workout, walking mauka uphill into a nice neighborhood is also an alternative. The Banyan Mart is conveniently located across the street if you just need a couple supplies or the daily paper, and the Poke Shack is downstairs if you don't want to drive somewhere for lunch or dinner. We highly recommend this condo and working with Holly if you're looking for a place to stay on the Kona coast."
