  • Great Condo in a Great Location

"We just returned home last week after a 16 day stay at Blake and Wayne's condo. Just as advertised. Amenities were abundant. From a lemon juicer to a rice cooker to sunscreen to books, videos, you name it, I think they offered it. The condo is ideally located. Easy walking distance to Kona and almost across the street from the Royal Kona Resort and Don the Beachcomber bar with the original Mai Tai! Partial ocean view but the lanai is huge and the grounds are lovely. Most days I had the pool all to myself. We did experience a few minor issues during our stay but they were quickly addressed by the on-site property manager. Even got a personal call from Blake our second day there asking how things were going. We were a party of 4 adults but this unit would easily accommodate families. Beds were so comfortable and having the fans really helped keep things cool. We will be back!"

  • Absolutely perfect condo in Kona!

"This condo in Kona Pacific was absolutely perfect. It is quiet and overlooks green space and a little view of the water. The unit is very large and spacious with large lanai (balcony) even with a table setting to dine outside and comfy outdoor chairs. The condo is very comfortable with 2 queen beds in the very large bedroom, 2 bathrooms and a full washing machine and dryer in the apartment. It has its own car parking space but is walking distance to EVERYTHING in Kona. The condo is just as you see it on the net....this block is older but well maintained. The owner Joel is a pleasure to deal with, and any questions you have he is so quick to reply to emails. His customer service is exemplary. We had an issue with arrival time and his help and flexibility with this was terrific. You can walk to all the restaurants and entertainment in need for a car if you just stay in Kona but if you want to explore further afield (and there's so much to see and do on the BIG Island) you will need a car. We loved having some of the basics in the kitchen like oil, gladwrap, salt and pepper and basically a cupboard of other travellers' leftovers....fabulous! There are beach towels, snorkel and beach things...even sun tan lotion was there....maybe leftover from someone else but that's fine. We would highly recommend everything about this condo and feel confident you would not be disappointed. Just be mindful you are not staying in the Sheraton with flash foyers and 5 star sterile clinical perfection. The personal touches, the size and comfort of this condo along with a great owner far outweigh any tiny room in a 5 star hotel. AND the biggest bonus it is such good value. Congratulations Joel you are doing everything right....just keep doing what you are doing!!! We loved it so much and if we return to Kona we would stay NOWHERE else. PS We did have a small issue with a running toilet and emailed Joel and he was on to it IMMEDIATELY with a courteous tradie who liaised with us and Joel and it was fixed almost straight away."

  • March 2015 at Kona Pacific

"If you don't mind not being on the water, this condo is an excellent choice from location in the complex to location in the town of Kailua-Kona. My family of four stayed for the month of March and we were very pleased with the style, cleanliness, location, and lay-out. Very good value. No need to repeat all it's assets which are well reviewed already. Being avid hikers, we highly recommend the hikes at Waipio Valley and Pololu Valley as well as the hike from SouthPoint to Green Sand Beach/Crater. The hike around and down into Kailua Iki Crater was unique. Danny Rey's and Kona Inn are restaurants in town worth a visit."

  • Very nice ocean view

"We enjoyed our stay here, the description and photos are accurate and the condo is clean and well kept. Great instructions for check in, parking and locating the unit. The pool area is very nice and the bbq's and tables are great if you want to sit poolside at supper time. Kitchen is very well stocked if you like to cook some meals at home and the living area is spacious and comfortable. The lanai is also large and has a great ocean view, we enjoyed sitting outside every morning. The location is great, its a short walk to several resaurants, pubs and shops. Would stay here again."
