  • Great value!

"Just got back from a great vacation on the Big Island. We were very pleased with the accommodations. It's difficult to add to what previous reviewers have said, but overall we were very happy with this rental. The location is ideal - within walking distance to great coffee, a sweet little beach, restaurants, etc., but no traffic noise. The building is very clean and quiet. The unit itself has everything you need and more. It was really easy and helpful to have beach chairs, towels, umbrella, snorkeling equipment, etc., available. We really had to stop and think what a big hassle it would have been to have to either travel with all those items or buy/rent them while we were there. I have to give a big shout out to the Wayne and JoAnn, the property managers. They provided great information ahead of time and were extremely accommodating. Very different experience from staying a big hotel. We didn't use the pool at all. We enjoyed some great day trips to northern beaches, as well as an overnight at Volcano. Can't say enough good things about this property!"

  • California to Kailua-Kona

"We spent 1 totally delightful week in this location. The condo was just wonderful! The location was great as we simply walked each morning to a different place for breakfast with gorgeous views! The condo was ALWAYS cool plus very nice Hawaiian decor. The island is laid-back, but lots to see and do: as in snorkel trip, para-sail, Luau, tour the oldest church in US, see the Palace across the street from the church, drive to the Volcano and have lunch overlooking the crater, drive North to the end of the highway, return and come back down through beautiful cattle ranches including the famous Parker Ranch. Golf galore, but expensive. Shopping centers nearby. Lunch at the Harbor...great beers and lunches! Did we love it...5 stars! Plus the owner couldn't have been nicer."

  • Beautiful Modern Condo

"The Pros: This unit was extremely well stocked with anything you could possibly need during your vacation. One closet contained everything for the beach including beach towels, sunscreen, bug spray, umbrellas, and coolers. Another closet we only discovered near the end of our stay contained boogie boards and beach chairs. The kitchen had numerous appliances, pots, pans, dishes, tupperware, ice packs . It was perfect for making our own meals, Wal-Mart and Safeway are only a 5 minute drive away from the condominium if you are wanting to stock up on groceries. We also took advantage of the washer and dryer located in the unit. The unit was stocked with dryer sheets, and laundry detergent pods if you didn't pack any. This was a huge bonus for us. The pictures of the living room, lanai, and bedrooms are exactly what you see in person. Every room was clean, comfortable and furnished with modern taste. The Cons: The bathrooms themselves were very clean however the showers appeared dingy and mildewy, they looked like they needed a better scrubbing then they were getting by housekeeping. The bathrooms did not have ventilation fans but instead what looked like mini desktop fans that were mounted and pointed at the mirrors to help defog. The fans were full of dust, my fiance ended up taking one apart to clean it before we used it. In addition, he found some comet in one of the cupboards and scrubbed out the shower before we used that. In our opinion, if you are paying a housekeeping fee, you should expect the showers to be spotless. The door to the lanai from the living room did not lock easily. Both the glass door and the screen door had trouble staying on the tracks and when we wanted to close them both, it was very difficult to line them up to lock. Lastly, the unit located directly above us was undergoing major renovations and every morning we were awoken to the sounds of construction: drilling, hammering, scraping of the tiles, loud voices etc.. Not the most relaxing way to start your day... This unit is huge, and is great for families. You get exactly what you see in the pictures. It was a nice place to unwind after a busy day of sightseeing. Owners are easy to contact, and gave great recommendations for places to eat and visit during our stay."
