  • Great Condo!

"This is our second stay at Kona Reef-our first time in this unit. Beautiful view of the ocean off the lanai. The unit had everything we needed. Well stocked with kitchen utensils, detergent, paper products, etc. Lots of other extras such as boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels. This unit was very quiet. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Enjoyed the wonderful sunsets from the lawn area just on the other side of the pool. Short drive (less than 4 miles) to Kahalu"u state beach which is an excellent snorkel beach, as well as 2 step or Pu'uhonua state park (about 35 miles) which is another good snorkeling area. Took a guided snorkeling boat ride to Kealakekua Bay to snorkel, also. This is our 5th trip to the Big Island and we are always discovering new places to go. We would highly recommend staying in this condo and would rent again when returning. The owner got back to us quickly when requesting information. The rental process went very smoothly and orderly."

  • Kona Reef Sept 4-15,2014

"Rating Details: I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was very clean. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in this unit before and enjoy its many features. The location of the unit allows easy access from the parking garage, to the pool and beach. The only downside to the unit is the lack of a conventional sofa. The futon bed does convert into a couch but remains a bed. It is not comfortable at all for relaxing or watching tv. Only 1 easy chair for 2-4 guests is not sufficient. We arrived to find the refrigerator not in proper working order. We mopped up the water twice each day. Upon our departure we did inform the property manager. Manager responded on 9/27/2014: Mahalo for letting us know about the fridge not working on your departure. In the future please feel free to call us immediately and we will take of any issues you may have asap."

  • Relaxing and Comfortable

"We spent 5 nights of our honeymoon here and had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, we suffered a tragic loss of our pup a couple days before we came to Kona and Helen was so sweet and accommodating. We were so glad we had our time here, it was rejuvenating and just so comfortable. Of the 3 places we stayed on our honeymoon, this was (by far) the best equipped - it felt like your own home away from home - I loved sitting on the patio every morning with a cup of coffee and a book. We BBQ'd a couple of nights at the pool and finished each night in the hot tub/pool. We walked in to town a couple of days for breakfast or dinner and walked to Jake's Diving Locker for night manta ray snorkeling (HIGHLY recommend). We will definitely be back with my parents on another trip!!!"
