"Big Island on a budget. The condo is the same rate as the budget hotels in the Kona area, but has a few benefits that add to the value. Having a kitchen and a living room make the stay more comfortable, and being able to eat-in saves money. The use of the beach chairs and boogie boards saved some rental fees. Do not plan on swimming in the ocean from the condo, but there are swimming beaches nearby- and don't miss Hapuna Beach, rated in the top ten most beautiful beaches in the world! The owners were easy to work with, and the condo was clean and pleasant with a comfortable bed."

"What a nice surprise I got when I woke up, first thing Saturday morning! From my bed I could see the sky, hear the birds, watch the palm trees and a papaya tree (with fruit) right outside the sliding glass door and lanai. Loved it!! My boyfriend and I enjoyed 3 days before the rest of the fambam arrived. We went to End of the World where there is cliff diving, Kahaluu Beach, Puako Beach (didn't make it White Sands Beach which is only 7 minutes away because we ran out of time) and City of Refuge, a boat cruise, drove to Hilo to the water falls, saw the Volcano and(3 adults and one 5 year old) We sure enjoyed the comforts of home here. It had everything we needed. Even snorkel gear and boogie boards. We slept like a baby and the AC kept us nice and cool. Spent a few mornings, sipping coffee, on the grass lawn near the bbq/pool area BEAUTIFUL VIEW and the books of the Big Island for reference sure came in handy when looking for places to venture. Barbara checked on us and offered us ideas of places to discover like KUA BAY. Gorgeous beach. The price on this condo also helps when your feeding 6. I will definitely be back. MAHALO BARBARA :)"

"The condo has very comfortable furniture and is clean. We were only feet away from the ocean . We were given a list of beaches, restaurants, and other sites and actives. We recommend the Atlantis submarine, Safari helecopter rides, Volcano National Park, Hawaii Tropical Botanical Gardens. There is a Walmart near by (not a super store) where you can pick up anything you may have forgotten and some souvenirs. We ate at Teshima (Japanese) and Kamara Indian Restaurant. We highly recommend both. Hawaii is very cautious about caring for its environment. Grocery bags are given by purchase and seemingly anything with plastic had a deposit. Bring coins for laundry, there is no change machine. This condo was perfect in location and eminities. Be sure to walk to the pool or the black rocks and watch the sunset. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We hope to return ."

"I enjoyed my visit & would stay here again. There are always pros & cons to any economy condo but the pros seem to outnumber the cons here. Bed & couch are comfortable and the linens clean (though the upper areas of condo especially the bathroom need a good dusting). There is a parking space reserved so no worries when you come home late. There was an umbrella, beach chairs, towels and ice chest available and all the basic kitchen utensils needed for a couple. There are stairs to climb and little air circulation in the room so you need to figure out the method of using the small AC unit vs a fan to cool it off during the night. (Keep the bathroom door closed at all times due to that room being so hot). The complex is older but nice and feels like home. There is a little competition for the outdoor grilling area use but everyone is friendly and met some great people during our week. Despite the no parking signs, there were a couple times guests of the full time residents parked in the car washing space that I needed to wash my dive gear each night so we had to double park & work around them. But just having the hose and space available is a huge plus. The coin laundry ate our coins and it's an outside contractor which was a bit of a problem, but the maintenance man was available and other residents helped us get more change to use another washer. The pool is small clean & has a terrific view. It gets little use so you can usually have it to yourself during the week. No real ocean access but that is normal for most of Kona. The property manager was excellent and quickly responded a couple times when called. No internet was a problem so needed to buy coffee at shop down the street each day to use their wifi. Overall a nice safe & convenient complex."
