  • Sea Village

"Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay at Sea Village was great! It has a beautiful view of Kailua-Kona and a location that is close to everything. The unit looks just like the photos, although there is a newer table and chairs on the lanai. It is well stocked with linens, kitchen items (although we did not cook during our 3 night stay), and has all the beach "toys" you'll need. There is no air conditioning, which we did not find to be a problem. We had to make a last minute change from a different property, and the reservation agents were easy to work with on such short notice. There is a nice pool area and a small coffee shop on the property. We will recommend this property to family and friends!"

  • Wonderful home away from home

"We had a wonderful 2-1/2 month stay in this condo. The owner tried to think of everything to make our visit comfortable. We liked using the patio with BBQ which the upper condos are not allowed to have. It was nice to have a closet filled with water toys for adults that we took advantage of. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed the convenience of being on the first floor. Beds were very comfortable and it was very quiet compared to other stays we've had in the same complex closer to the road. We walked to town easily when we didn't have a rental car plus the local Hele-on bus stops right in front of the complex. A nice public access beach is just across the street a short walk away. As you can see, we loved this place."

  • As Advertised / Reviewed

"Unquestionably a 5 star property from initial communication through the cleanliness and location of the property. We could not find anything lacking in terms of additional amenities as Jinger has covered all the bases to make this truly is a vacation heaven in paradise no less ! In fairness to potential renters as mentioned in only one other review, the HVAC noise from the commercial building directly below the lanai may be a potential consideration as it is constant and somewhat takes away from the ambiance of a great location."

  • Wonderful Value In a Great Location

"My husband and I had a wonderful two weeks on the Big Island thanks to our very comfortable accommodation at #3205 Kona Makai. The condo was just as describe and credited to the owner Judith, which is why we decided to choose this condo. It sounded like a place you could just move into and start your vacation--and it was! Judith was a wonderful, caring host, whom we met very soon after we arrived because the kitchen sink had backed up and the under sink alarm had gone off. We were able to e-mail her and she came the next morning and immediately had Maintenance handling the situation. We had a lovely visit and felt well looked after. The condo is furnished very nicely with high quality linens, towels, appliances, kitchen gadgets, furniture, cutlery, dishes, barbecue utensils, small kitchen electrics and even a very nice salad spinner (which I had inquired about from home before we left). There it was! I have rented other "furnished" condo vacation rentals and this was far above the usual. We could relax and start our vacation. Perfect! The condo and property are well built and maintained as well as the pool and Jacuzzi. The 3 barbecue grills, along with ample chairs and tables and lighting make sunset dinners an easy pleasure. Note there is no glass allowed in the barbecue area--but Judith supplied a second set of plastic dishware/glasses along with a tray so that you can "get cookin" right away. We appreciated the thoughtful books, DVDs, and Big Island guides that she left in the living room. But, we REALLY appreciated the two beach chairs, beach towels, the cooler, the three boogie boards, the noodles, and snorkel gear that she left for us in the closet. The condo is also very quiet at night, which we appreciated after long drives sightseeing. We never needed the air conditioner, but did use the ceiling fans in both the living room and bedroom. The front gate lock was not functioning well during our stay, but the equipment was replaced and a new code given during the last couple of days of our stay. All in all, this condo was a very enjoyable place to stay for the two weeks. It's near everything, but has a lot to offer on its own. The sunsets are remarkable and we often saw schools of dolphins right in front. Our only regret is not having the chance to snorkel in front -several people did go in, but by the time we were ready surf was up."
