"The location cannot be beat - you literally feel like you are on a cruise ship - looking out every window (including one of the showers!), all you see is the beautiful water! Waves were huge the week we were there (Christmas 2014), and we had to close the windows at night to sleep, and even then, you could hear the waves crashing against the rocks below! We saw whales and dolphins off the lanai's. So nice to sit outside with a cup of coffee or a cocktail and enjoy the views and sunsets. There were tons of things to use in the house (coolers, chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, etc). Walking distance to the great snorkel beach as well as Magic Sands, but no swimming in front of the house. On the downside (but nothing hampered our trip), the jacuzzi heater wasn't working (but the property mgr worked with us on that), and the air conditioning downstairs didn't work (not a huge deal except when we first got there and it was real stuffy). Any issues were quickly addressed. We loved our stay at Hale Honu over Christmas! There is a grocery store real close. If you go on a snorkel trip, we highly recommend the Fair Winds tour!"

Comfortable, excellent bed, wonderfully decorated and cared for
"We stayed for one week in this oceanfront condo.
There were lots of top quality towels, beach towels, beach chairs, etc.
Free wifi, Netflix and washer/dryer all worked well.
Living room is nice with great views of the ocean.
The kitchen is very modern and has all the amenities one could need and then some.
We truly felt comfortable and at home in this nice condo.
Note that we experienced a few days during "high surf" where it was very dangerous for us to be on the lanai due to heavy sprays and waves splashing onto the lanai. There are warnings posted outside as well as in the owners instructions in the condo that for Dec - March one must keep the windows and door closed during high surf warnings (that's why 4 stars instead of 5 as all else was great for us).
The bedrooms are dark with no views at all however they are comfortable. No air conditioning anywhere in the condo. Both bathrooms are updated and very nice.
We love Sea Village and this was our second visit to that complex."

"I was at first reluctant to give a review on our stay at this property only because I do not want it to be in such demand I may not get it the next time I go. Really though, what a deal. Ground floor which is a plus at this complex, quiet, close to the beach and everything you could possibly need while you stay there. I was very impressed to find it spotless as though it was my own house and as clean as I keep mine. I spent a lot of time in the salt water pool, so much nicer in my opinion than a chlorine pool. The owner was very accommodating and let us check in earlier since there was no one occupying the unit before us. If there was a 6 star rating I would give it one.
Thanks Cathie, looking forward to our next stay.

"My husband and I stayed at this beautiful, clean and very well equipped home in March of 2015. We were there to
celebrate our 46th Anniversary. We had an amazing time in Kona (our first time there). The home was more than
homey and comfortable, the king size bed was so comfy, being able to smoke on the lanai made it easier than
having to leave the property. We did spend most to our time on the lanai, enjoying the birds and the garden.
Ask Barb for a tour of her garden, she has some unusual and beautiful plants.
We did have a problem finding the place the night we arrived, it is so dark in Hawaii at night and the street
signs need some updating, so use google map, or a GPS if you arrive at night, and are old like us. Ask Bruce for
information on Captain Cook Trading for excellent discounts on MAC nuts and KONA coffee. We would love to
go again next year, or sooner."
