"This is a terrific unit and great value for the location. We loved it was a corner unit with a fantastic view of the ocean. We spent almost every evening watching the sunset from there. One of our favorite things while hanging out at the lanai is to watch the green turtles coming ashore to sun themselves.
The unit has everything we needed. It's convenient to the places we want to visit. Holly was great to work with in arranging the rental. We would consider this unit again if we were to visit the Big Island in the future."

"We stayed for a week at the end of March 2015 and as we entered the home a huge whale breached right out front to welcome us. During the course of our visit two different whales had their babies only a few yards away from us and spent most of each day sunning in the calm waters. A walk through the side gate led us to the perfect cove filled with bright colored fish and turtles that were very curious and friendly. The house was wonderful and homey and very well stocked. We had a group of 5 and never felt cramped in any way. It is close to everything and we would not hesitate to stay again."

"Stayed here for the month of February and was very pleased with the unit. I even booked it again for a couple weeks in 2016. I stayed at more expensive units in Kona before but decided to try this unit for the price and the location.
The complex only has about ten units in them and some are than others. This unit just had a upgrade so it was very nice inside. The living rooom is kind of a mess as if you want to watch tv you have to watch it at an angle from the couch but never watched tv much so didn't matter. The kitchen had everything you need but been part of the living room got a little crowded for two. Bedroom was a nice size for a one bedroom and had a comfortable mattress. Bathroom was also a good size with large shower. The unit has an electric grill since there is only a charcoal barbeque outside. The electric grill worked great as we cooked burgers, steaks, meatloaf and chicken wings on it and they all came out great at a medium high setting. It says an indoor grill but we only used it outside. Also there were plenty of towels for us to use.
Now for a few negatives. There is no pool and the beach across the road was a little on the rough side but the snorkel beach is only a three minute drive away. Like I said earlier the tv viewing is a little mixed up to to square footage limitations. You can get a few bugs in the suite but that happens in all suites in Hawaii unless your in a high rise. Magic Sand beach had washed away due to high surf and was a little on the rough side. When I first drove up to the unit it looks a little run down but its great inside .
The view from the lanai is fantastic and we watched the whales every day and every other day we saw spinner dolphins. Stayed at the Sea Village before and the view here was better and it was about $80 cheaper a night.
Kathie West was great to deal with fro Go West Travel and the maintenance man was easy to get hold of if you had any problems.
Remember you get what you pay for and if you want a bigger and better unit with a pool it will cost you more but this unit is great. I really enjoyed it at the Kona White Sands and that is why I booked it again. I have been to Hawaii about 30 times and stayed in many different places in Kona but for the price and quality of the unit this place gets a high rating."

"Thank you Debi for sharing such a wonderful place with those of us lucky enough to stumble upon your listing! The condo was beautiful! My new wife Lindsay and I loved hearing the waves crash from literally feet away from the lanai and enjoying the beautiful sunsets in the evening...I experienced my first "green flash" from your lanai (that's when just as the sun disappears from the horizon, a bright green flash can be seen ever so briefly). The pool was also a refreshing hang out spot which was so conveniently located to the condo. The best was being within a short walking distance to the town of Kailua which was filled with wonderful pubs, restaurants, shops, and other assorted attractions. We literally couldn't have asked for more! You as the host were so gracious with us and quick to respond with any inquiries we may have had. Having the adventure guide book available for us to borrow was also a real treat as it lead us on several adventures (although the hike to Captain Cook was a tough one, the snorkeling was outstanding!). I can't even come up with a single thing to make the experience any better! The A/C was also a welcome amenity on those days we were just too hot from all the outdoor activities (like the Captain Cook hike day!). Thank you again for helping to make our honeymoon unforgettable and something we will never forget!"
