"We were in Kona for our daughter’s wedding, and absolutely loved our five nights at Mike’s oceanfront condo in the Kona Bali Kai. You look at and hear the ocean from the living room as well as the master bedroom. Hearing the surf at night and waking to the sun gleaming on the palm trees is absolute heaven!! The condo is on the 4th floor with a lanai overlooking the water---you can’t get much closer!! From the lanai we watched sea turtles, porpoise, surfers, fishermen, canoe races, and sunsets. Mike’s list of things to do in the area was of great help and very much appreciated. The condo is well equipped with everything you need including beach towels, beach chairs, and umbrellas. There is also a clean and well maintained BBQ and picnic table on the lawn just steps away from the ocean, and a pool for your use on the premises. The condo has been kept immaculately clean and is beautifully decorated. It was unusually hot, so we appreciated the air-conditioning from time to time; but most of the time we just had the sea breeze flowing through the condo. Also, it is only about a 5 minute drive to Kona’s historic village area. We have already reserved our next stay for 2016, but will be staying longer next time.......can’t wait!! Thanks for opening up your house to us Mike!!"

"Our family stayed in this home for nearly 3 months this summer. The house is in great condition, very clean, well appointed and very comfortable. The yard is kept in amazing condition. The salt water pool was wonderful and we enjoyed the use of the outdoor bbq. The location of the home is very convenient. A 20 min walk or a 5 min drive and you are in town. We felt the gated community added an additional safety element that we appreciated. Above all, the owner of the property and the property manager made our stay perfect. Any need we had, they addressed it quickly, professionally and courteously. We'll be back to stay here again."

Breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean greets you at the door and it just gets BETTER !
"A real oceanfront condo! Entering through the front doors we knew we had arrived, as the expansive breathtaking view of the multi-hued blues of the Pacific Ocean greeted us, then thrilling us day after day! Stepping out onto the Lanai, the only sounds are the surf, birds & rustling palms. This well-appointed condo welcomed these weary travelers to RELAX! The unit was squeaky-clean top to bottom & well stocked with all one needs to arrive, unpack & enjoy! Beautiful tiled shower, granite topped bath vanity, well stocked kitchen & quality linens. Quiet pool. BBQ on Wednesdays when the cruise ship was in port & the restaurants a little crazy. Super Convenient location; no need to endure any aggravation driving, as the shops & restaurants fronting the rock wall promenade are literally a few hundred feet away. A spa & luau are right next door. The complex is very well maintained, quiet & clean. Laundry room very clean. We enjoyed seeing the nightly shows put on by the eels behind "Don the Beachcombers", as well as the manta rays at "Rays on the Bay [ these businesses illuminate the surf at night drawing a spectacle of underwater activity] We loved that we were staying here every time we walked through the doorway! Hoping to return soon! [Foodies: Great farmers market downtown for local fresh fruit at amazing prices. Bite Me at the Marina has good fresh fish. Sack & Save to have great poke & their lobster tails at $5.99 each are hard to beat when BBQ’d! Make sure to look for Hawaii Brand No fructose Coconut Syrup ( yummy on frozen waffles ! ) & Hershey Kisses with macadamia – These alone are already calling me to return! Dining: Happy hour extends late at many places; calamari at Fish Hopper is high quality & a great value! Our “local’s” picks: Harbor House: a workingman’s dive at the boat marina with cold beer, generous & cheap. Pine Tree Café caters to the local workers & super generous portions cheap. My fish burger was some of the best fish I ate on the island! For a special dinner try Holuakoa Gardens Cafe in Holualoa, 15 minutes up the hill. A flash flood the day of our anniversary, so we missed our reservation. The restaurant stayed open an extra 90 minutes JUST FOR US when we arrived late! Amazingly crafted food & K. Coffee Crème Brulee while serenaded by the singing frogs, sitting outdoors in their magically lit dining pavilion! Far, far superior to any other dining experience we had on the island!]
We can't wait to return to Hale Kona Kai!"
