"Beautiful newer home in a great neighborhood. We wanted to experience home living to determine if we wanted to move to Hawaii. This home has the comforts and set up like our own home. Having a recliner is a must-have for my husband since we are here for 3 months.
Decor is fabulous with island theme - beautiful paintings. Amenities are extensive. Besides those listed, there are also these items: toaster, blender, coffee maker, juicer, iron and ironing board, blow dryer. Snorkeling items, flippers, boogie boards, large umbrella, beach towels, 2 beach chairs.
I needed and found a first aid kit - mahalo! Even some of the tools came in handy. It was wonderful walking the neighborhood taking pictures of flowers. When I interacted with people (asking permission to take pictures of some yards with extensive garden areas), they were friendly.
The owner bent over backwards to make sure the home was ready for us, fixing things the previous people abused or neglected. It has been great here; really feels like home.
I would choose this place again in a heartbeat!"

"What a nice surprise I got when I woke up, first thing Saturday morning! From my bed I could see the sky, hear the birds, watch the palm trees and a papaya tree (with fruit) right outside the sliding glass door and lanai. Loved it!! My boyfriend and I enjoyed 3 days before the rest of the fambam arrived. We went to End of the World where there is cliff diving, Kahaluu Beach, Puako Beach (didn't make it White Sands Beach which is only 7 minutes away because we ran out of time) and City of Refuge, a boat cruise, drove to Hilo to the water falls, saw the Volcano and(3 adults and one 5 year old) We sure enjoyed the comforts of home here. It had everything we needed. Even snorkel gear and boogie boards. We slept like a baby and the AC kept us nice and cool. Spent a few mornings, sipping coffee, on the grass lawn near the bbq/pool area BEAUTIFUL VIEW and the books of the Big Island for reference sure came in handy when looking for places to venture. Barbara checked on us and offered us ideas of places to discover like KUA BAY. Gorgeous beach. The price on this condo also helps when your feeding 6. I will definitely be back. MAHALO BARBARA :)"

"Spent five nights at Ann's condo and could hardly have been happier. It is clean, quiet and comfortable, and is perfectly located with a wonderful view of the ocean and sunsets. The condo contained nearly everything I could have needed during my stay.
Just three recommendations to make the place even better:
1- Do not leave the A/C cover on A/C unit for guests' arrival - may create confusion and guests could potentially damage the A/C unit. There are instructions on the wall near the A/C remote but I only read the instructions provided on the fridge. Alternatively, provide ALL relevant instructions on one piece of paper or in one document;
2- Leave enough laundry detergent for guests to do at least a couple of loads. There was plenty of dish soap but no laundry detergent provided, so I had to buy a large bottle and left it almost full, I hope it can be used by future guests;
3- Sofa bed was very uncomfortable when used as a bed - I would either discourage people from using it that way, or else replace it with something usable.
The toilet was leaking when I arrived, I called the property manager and someone came the very same day and fixed the issue.
Very happy with my experience and hope to return in the future. Thank you again Ann! :-)"

"I recently had the chance to go to the Big Island with friends. I had no previous experience there although I travel extensively. What a treat! I loved all the Big Island has to offer with all of its diversity. I especially enjoyed staying at the Casa de Emdeko, unit 134. It was ideally situated in the beautifully groomed grounds. Close to the private beach with an ocean view. It was quiet. The condo was well maintained and appointed and all the people I met there were delightful. Love, love the traditional gathering at the common lanai for drinks and pu pu's to watch the sun set. The condo has two pools, but I must admit I only used the salt water pool situated right on the ocean. Can't wait to go back."
