  • Ocean front patio

"This was the best condo. It opened right onto the little yard with it's own palm tree. You could see bright yellow fish and sea turtles in the water below while sitting there."

  • We loved this place - We recommend it to everyone

"I'm so glad that we "lucked out" in finding such a perfect condo to stay in for 3 weeks in/on Hawaii! I was a little worried about VBRO in the beginning; it seemed so sketchy to be trying to contact lots of individual owners, balancing dates, requirements & preferences, etc, all at the same time and coming up with what might be the best option for us. (I still think it is. Wish there were a better, more centralized system.) But in the end, all I can say is that we were lucky, and I am very grateful that this was a great place and all worked out well. Gayle was very easy to work with. The unit has absolutely everything a family could need -- lots of dishes & cookware (in a BIG kitchen!), 3 TVs, sports & beach gear, pretty & comfortable furniture. AND -- that lanai!! It really is as huge as advertised, with good furniture and a nice view (over the tops of about a zillion palm trees) to the ocean. We liked the location in Kaeuhou, although we did have to drive everywhere. We found that it's about 90-100 miles to Hilo, Kilauea, and Mauna Loa (LONG trips if you do it in one day and return). But we also took many other excursions to places closer such as Kona, Holualoa, small beaches & bays , Hawi/Kawahae and historical sites along the west coast. If you are an active bunch, this is a great home base. If you want to be more quiet and just laze away the days in warm sunshine & not do much, just stock up with the fresh food you like & you'll be very comfortable here. It's not a hotel here -- no one does the dishes for you -- but we think it's much better!"

  • Had such a wonderful time!

"We took our 3 adult children and our only granddaughter for a week in this wonderful condo. The location is south of Kona in a quiet condo project. It was easy to get to Kona for dinner or shopping. There is a convenient shopping area with groceries, drug store and restaurants right up the hill from the condo so it wasn't necessary to go into the crowded tourist area very often. The unit itself is just fantastic. You go up 12 or 13 stairs after you come through the entry door. A comfortable kitchen, dining room and living room, and a lovely balcony overlooking the golf course (closed for renovations) gave us plenty of room to spread out and do our own thing if we wanted to. Ceiling fans keep these areas somewhat cool. The air conditioner, for which there is an extra charge, wasn't as cool as we would have liked it and the thermostat is sealed in a plastic box so we couldn't change it. The master bedroom has a nice vanity area and walk-in closet. The 2nd bedroom is still good sized and has the hall bath right next to it. The loft bedroom has its own bath and is spacious and comfortable. There is plenty of privacy up there but the overlook window lets light and sound in from the downstairs so put your early risers up in the loft. All the bedrooms had ceiling fans and we were adequately cool by the time we went to bed. The outside grounds are immaculate and the 3 swimming pools (one is for adults only) are all fantastic. The ocean side pool is especially beautiful but the most crowded. There is a gas grill located at each pool. Ray has included a high chair, stroller, baby gate, and car seat which made this condo really great for us with our granddaughter along. We used the Honda Odessy van during our stay. It is big and roomy and such a great bargain. I highly recommend this condo and would definitely go back again!"

  • Had a great time!

"Pele’s Paradise is set in a friendly adult community next to the pool, with beautiful views of Kona Country Club golf course and the ocean. It is centrally located within two hours from North Kohala or the Volcano in the opposite direction. This is a well-equipped first floor condo with all the conveniences of home, suitable for extended or short stays. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. Having spent two months at this property, we consider Pele’s Paradise our home away from home. This condo is conveniently located a short mile away from Keauhou Shopping Center or Keauhou Bay and Sheraton Hotel, six miles south of Kailua-Kona. We enjoyed hearing and viewing a variety of birds every day, watching fabulous sunsets and discovering new places to see and eat. A great place to relax and enjoy Aloha life."

Other Kailua-Kona Properties Travel Tips

Experience Kailua-Kona Condo Rentals

Heading to the island of Hawaii for a much needed vacation is something that most people only dream about doing. By putting back a little money each week from your paycheck, you can make that dream a reality. The best way to take full advantage of your vacation is by staying in one of the many Kailua-Kona condo rentals. With amenities such as a Jacuzzi and multiple rooms, it's no wonder people are canceling their hotel rentals and going with Kailua-Kona vacation homes.

The Island of Hawaii Awaits

Tropical flowers, beautiful beaches and clear waters are some of the reasons why people flock to Hawaii. When you book one of the Kailua-Kona condo rentals for your vacation, this scenery could be awaiting you outside your front door. In fact, most condos feature a private balcony; some even overlook the ocean!

A great way to enjoy the island is by heading out to the beach to watch the sunset. Then, create a small campfire to help keep you warm from the breeze that floats in from the ocean. Roast a few marshmallows, make some s'mores and just spend time talking to the ones you love. Nothing makes a vacation better than being with people who share the same goals and desires as you.

Freedom to Live Like the Locals

Hotels can be described by three words: stuffy, cramped and impersonal. For a family, living in such a confined atmosphere can cause tension, something that's definitely not wanted on a vacation. With Kona Coast vacation rentals, your family can reside in harmony since most rentals are roomy enough for large groups.

To add to the experience, Kailua-Kona vacation homes have a home-like setting. Being able to cook your own meals and come and go as you please allows you the opportunity to live just like the locals.
