  • Terrifically tranquil getaway.

"We were so very pleasantly surprised with the spacious and abundantly equipped corner unit at Kona Reef. The complex was quiet and the other guests that we met at the common area BBQ and poolside were outgoingly friendly, even offering us some fresh ahi ahi from their day of deep sea fishing. The unit itself was perfect for my husband and me, grandma and our two small children. The tile flooring, fresh linens, newly renovated washrooms and fully equipped kitchen made our vacation very comfortable. But the real gem was the spacious lanai overlooking the rolling waves with morning surfers and calm waters of evening sunsets that made this particular unit one that we plan on returning to in the future."

  • Highly recommend-but be sure to follow up on your deposit

"The location is ideal, very close to downtown, easy access to everything. The Keiki beach is fun to walk to on the small wall in front of all the houses. There is a cool blowhole/lava bridge just to the left of the house. We saw numerous humpback whales from the patio. The upstairs master area is spacious and the bath has dual shower heads. The downstairs bedroom with the queen bed is also set up sort of like a mini-master suite with a door to close the area off from the rest of the house. The kitchen is well stocked with basic cooking equipment/utensils. The Target, Walmart and Safeway are all close if you need anything. We did a lot of cooking in the kitchen and everything was easy to use. The outdoor BBQ is also easy to use and works well. There was a bodyboard and beach chairs in the garage which we used, a few snorkeling bits and pieces as well, but you will probably want to bring your own. The Keiki beach is a great intro to snorkeling spot for kids. You can see a few colorful fish and we even saw a turtle swimming there a couple of times. My only minor gripe is to make sure you follow up on your deposit. My suspicion is that they don't send you a check to refund it unless you ask. They said it was an oversight, but just be sure to follow that up. This place is a great value. I would stay here again!"

  • Family Reunion

"Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pro's: Location was quiet, private, and spacious. Our kids really liked the pool and everyone enjoyed the pool table. Enough space for our party of 10 (grandparents, family of five, married couple, and single adult), rental management company did respond to problems but fixes were minimal due to parts needed. Con's: Some road noise, main fridge didn't work (we lost some food that wasn't reimbursed), downstairs shower cold water handle was broken (turned on, but was really challenging to turn off), whole house could use a deep clean - was just ok. Ocean view was disappointing - more like partial ocean view. Would I recommend this property? Yes, but having stayed in another property of equal value I wouldn't choose this one."

  • Beautiful Condo!

"We really loved this condo. Beautiful view of the ocean and the mountains. The lanai is wonderful and you also have a golf course behind you. It was excellent. It was our first time using VRBO so we weren't sure what to expect, but it was an excellent experience. I would definitely recommend it. I am disabled and cannot use stairs. This unit is a bridge unit, so even though it is on the second floor, you have no stairs. Fabulous. Also, it has full size washer and dryer. Excellent, too."
