"Wonderful condo. Clean, well stocked. We loved the oceanfront view. Watched the dolphins everyday, cruise ships coming and leaving, canoes, and beautiful sunsets right from the lanai. We will be returning next year. Owner very easy to work with."

  • Great find in the hills on the north side of Kailua-Kona

"The location was great, really nice for getting a feel for the local community. Also an excellent choice if you're budget-conscious. Not only are you effectively getting 3 bedrooms for the price of two, but being on the north side of Kailua is great for affordable shopping at Target (most food) and Coscto ($4.99 roast chicken and cheap gas), as well as lots of free beach access. The place has plenty of lovely outdoor areas: we spent mornings by the koi pond watching the birds, fish, and geckos, and evenings on the lanai watching the sunsets and the local fauna passing thru. It has a spacious feel and seems to have been designed with a lot of consideration for natural light and air flow, and the decor is homey without feeling cluttered. The facilities include wi-fi, board games, and guide books, along with water sports equipment downstairs. Very nice master suite, and a roomy downstairs area suitable for a group of four. Superior kitchen and dining facilities. The owner is personable and responsive, and there is even a very nice neighbor who delivers her own locally made desserts. Does it get better?"

  • Beyond AMAZING!!!

"Our family and friends stayed at this glorious property for a week and could have stayed forever! Upon arrival, we were blown away by breathtaking views and a home that welcomed us with an abundance of space, and luxurious comfort. Our days were spent relaxing on the expansive deck, playing for hours in the pool, cooking up delicious bbq's, and celebrating with a glass of vino while we watched the incredibly beautiful sunset melt into the ocean below. We enjoyed the home so much, we had a hard time leaving to explore the island! There is nothing that has been overlooked to ensure the comfort of guests, and the service provided by the Property Manager was first class from the moment we originally inquired, right to the end of our stay. Our four year old cried as we pulled away. He loved every minute of our stay, and did not want to leave (I may have shed a tear or two myself!).... This home and surrounding property is absolutely stunning, and we could not have asked for a better vacation!! MAHOLO, MAHOLO, MAHOLO!!!!"

  • Not quite a luxury rental but fabulous location!

"My group of six adults stayed here for a week in August. Both the view and the close proximity to town make this an unbeatable location. The constant sound of the waves made for a great night's sleep. The master bedroom is outstanding but the other three rooms are all fairly small in comparison. My husband and I paid a larger share of the rental fee to compensate the others. This was a nice enough unit but I would not call it luxurious for several reasons. There was far more storage than we needed but the kitchen bath and hall cabinets appeared to be constructed of pressboard and due to the humid climate the vinyl surfacing was peeling off in places. The kitchen could use some additional utensils, pots, bowls, and dinnerware. The dining table was uncomfortably high so we did not eat many meals at it. The furniture on the lanais was nowhere near as nice as it appears in the photos. It was exceptionally rusty, even for a tropical climate, so we didn't eat out there often either. We had to call maintenance twice due to plumbing issues. The off-hours maintenance folks were truly bad while the daytime folks were fabulous. They even sent a plumber over on a Saturday to repair a leaking shower. I would consider renting this unit again but I would also seriously consider a different unit along the same stretch of beach."
