  • AWESOME! WOW! Love it - LOVE IT!!!!

"Just returned to the mainland -- our stay here at Kona Nalu was unforgettable! So great, that I am not sure I want everybody else to know how perfect it was -- I need to make sure I will still be able to book the place on a return trip! The unit has everything - coffee grinder (must have for Kona coffee!), blender, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, tons of beach towels, fresh towels, lovely bathrooms - one includes an oversize tub, comfortable beds, comfy oversize furniture in the living room, ceiling fans in all rooms and on the lanai - wonderful! And the lanai - WOW! Huge! Amazing view morning, evening, and all moments in between! Great lanai table for dinner with friends and a 2nd smaller table perfect for morning coffee or a glass of wine at sunset... And sunset from this lanai is STUNNING! Nice small pool - we usually had it to ourselves. Expect crashing waves at night, but we loved it and found it lulled us to sleep, and made us aware of how amazingly oceanfront this spot really is. BEST secret?! Turtle beach is just about two buildings away. It's a small cove that the sea turtles love to visit. Turtles came to visit every time we did. Amazing! Paul at Front Desk was so great about unit arrangements. The whole experience was perfect. So much to do on Big Island and such a perfectly wonderful place to call home while visiting! Thanks again for everything!!!!"

  • Paradise

"The apartment has a wonderful view on the ocean and it was highly above my expectations. Me, Marco, my son and my mother spent almost 2 weeks there and the whole apartment was comfortably equipped to have great time on holiday. I don't know if I'll be lucky enough to be back in Hawai'i in the future but, if I am, I'll come again to your wonderful place."

  • 5 days in paradise

"My husband and I were lucky to be in this condo 9/29-10/04. The view from the lanai is wonderful. The waves lull you to sleep every night. The turtles on the beach are constant source of entertainment. We travel a lot and have never stayed in a condo that was so well stocked. Even the refrigerator was stocked with condiments and the cabinets with anything you wish to cook with. Kudos to the owners. Mahalo"

  • Memories of a wonderful vacation at Hale Pohaku

"I wish we could have stayed longer. Our family had such a fun and relaxing vacation at this property. Everything was as we expected and hoped for. You walk into the condo and you could tell it is very clean and well maintained. Everything is very modern and new, the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, furniture, fixtures...everything. The bed and linens are of good quality and very comfortable. The kitchen is complete with nice utensils and supplies. Practically everything is provided to make you feel like you are home. A very nice beachfront property home. There are only six units in this condominium and it has a private feel. I did not see the occupants of the other units except for once when I was sitting at the lanai. It is really quiet except for the constant sound of the waves crashing against the beach and the chirping birds. There is a small sandy cove in front of the property and another a bit to the right of it. Guests at some resorts that have rocky beachfronts need to walk all the way to this one to enjoy the beach. The water has a bed that is more rocky than sandy so this is good for snorkeling as you will get to see a lot of fish even at shallow parts. Downtown Kailua-Kona is close enough to walk if you like walking. I don't so we always drove. It has that genuine island atmosphere, not the theme park feel of Waikiki. A lot of good places to eat here. One of my favorite parts was just sitting at the lanai, relaxing and enjoying the view of the ocean. I spent so much time losing myself in the scenery, watching the water and the sky and the trees swaying to the breeze. It was easy to leave the rest of the world and all my worries behind and appreciate just being there. This was also a great bonding experience for our family. We were all tired and stressed out from work and school and everything else that we have going on, that we really need this break. Hale Pohaku, this condo that we stayed in for our vacation was the perfect location for us. I wish we had more time to spend here. Next time, I'll make sure to stay longer. This is a wonderful property in a great location. I am very happy that we stayed here. I have very good memories of our vacation."
