  • Aloha ! Sweet Aloha !!

"Mahalo ! We have been to Kona many times and your Hale is our favourite vacation spot!! We spent wonderful days & nights on our beachfront Lanai enjoying the island breezes, simply -reading a good book ,or watching the fun seekers -snorkeling , bodysurfing, or kids playing in the surf and building sand castles ! Sunset time was poolside-and then a short leisurely walk to a favourite restaurant and maybe after , a Hula show or live music , or just star-gazing ! Aaaaaaah " wanna go back " .....not a little green shack , but a well equipped/ everything you might need- home away from home Hale , Wonderful Place -Aloha Sweet Aloha !"

  • FABULOUS location and condo!!

"My husband and I absolutely LOVED this condo and location! The construction upstairs was still going on while we were there in February, but if you're not there during the day (which you shouldn't be if you're in Hawaii!), then it's not a big deal. They aren't working early in the morning or at night. Everything is as shown in the pictures, and the WiFi works great! We are absolutely going to book this condo again in the future! The wrap around lanai is unbelievable and the views are just incredible - plan to stay home for the sunset! The only negative thing I have to say about it is that some people might have problems with the steep stairs up to the condo, but I think there may be an elevator? We never searched that out. It is far enough out of town that you would have to have a rental car or taxi (or you can jog the 3 miles into town along the Ironman route!), but there is a free parking spot that is super large and accessible! We highly recommend this condo!"

  • perfect

"We have enjoyed whole stay in this studio. Very very clean and in very good location, great sea view, no beach next to (10-15 min walk to small beach) but best way to explore this island and the beaches is by renting car and then you can find everything in the flat what you need for beach. There is two lots of stairs to go up so if you feel you can handle your luggage and shift up - this condo is good for you:) The communication with owner is excellent. Internet nice and quick. One thing I would add it's safe box just to have peace of mind . You can leave at the reception safe box but I would prefer in the condo but this is my personal view. I would highly recommend to everyone this place as is one of my favourite and I would suggest to the owner to create a nice name for this place so it could get nice reviews on tripadvisor as the one on tripadvisor is for all aparapartmentstments and some of the other apartments are giving bad reviews for all."

  • A Bit of Hawaiian Heaven

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Ohai house was great for our family spring break trip to Kona area. There were 8 of us and we wanted communal areas for relaxing, cooking and eating together, a good office space, and relatively private areas for the 4 family sub-groups. The beautiful pool and deck, lush garden, inviting living room with large TV, screened lanai with pool table and large, well equipped kitchen served us perfectly when together. We even had bananas from the garden. There is lots of storage space, 2 refrigerators and an efficient laundry room near kitchen. The wifi and office made our communications and tele-work easy. (One helpful addition would be a small office wall safe to store valuables you don't want to cart with you to the beach.) The Ohana bedroom with bath, the downstairs bedroom (King) and youngster's room with connecting Jack & Jill bath, and the two bedroom areas (a Master King and a Queen) on the main level gave us the 5 bedrooms and 4 baths in 4 areas we wanted for our comfortable, private havens. Ample parking for our three rental vehicles was good, and we had terrific outings to historic parks, lovely beaches with great amenities, farmers's/crafts markets, local restaurants, snorkel/dolphin boat trip, waterfalls, a luau at the King Kamehameha and The Merrie Monarch Festival in Hilo! You'll never be bored on the Big Island."
