"This condo was even better than expected! Everything was clean, comfortable and had plenty of room. The kitchen was stocked with all appliances, large and small. We made use of the beach chairs, ice chest and beach towels. We had good views from the lanai and enjoyed drinking our coffee there in the mornings! The condo is very conveniently located, right across from White Sands Beach. It was a quick jog up to the highway to go do other activities. This was especially nice since the Ironman was going on and Kona was packed! We would stay here again, for sure! If you plan on staying in this area, kayaking and snorkeling the bay by Captain Cooks monument is a must! One of the highlights of our trip. Also recommend the Kilauea Iki hike. Amazing! Our trip was so awesome, partly because the owner was very easy to work with and quick to respond. We would stay here again, for sure!"

"It may be boring of me to repeat all the accolades from previous renters - but they are all true! This condo is very well updated, equipped, decorated, appointed. I can verify the beauty of the sunset view from the dozens of pictures we took. Holly and the owner have really excelled in making this a great vacation condo! The attention to detail by Holly is exceptional! It is very well set up for arrival, and we felt almost as if it were our own place right away. It is also a great base to tour all the island - which we did. Don't miss Hilo, Polulu, the National Park .... and the list would be too long . Didn't watch the tv but everything electronic is also up to date - including the good Wi-Fi to Skype with grand-kids. Unusually, there were no trade winds and apparently both temperature and humidity were very high and above normal during our stay - air conditioning would have been a plus, but apparently is rarely needed. We wish that Hawaii was not such a long trip - otherwise we would be back multiple times per year. We say all this as experienced renters - multiple times in multiple places per year. this qualifies at the very top of our list."

"Just the right location for my wife and another couple. Clean and a just like home feel regarding the living accommodations. Standing on the salt water pool edge and watching the waves crash against the lava rocks some of them splashing into the pool was awesome. With the complex facing west you see the sun set into the pacific ocean offering beautiful sunsets. From here we travelled south and around the bottom of the island to the Hawai'i volcanoes national park (spectacular), then up to Hilo on the east coast and the back across the island to Kona. This location is also close to town and is within walking distance."

"Just returned from a 10 day stay at Maluhia Hale. We loved this home. It was clean and comfortable and just lovely. The quiet and privacy was perfect. The views were great to enjoy each day. I wish the neighbor across the street would cut his avocado tree as it totally blocks the actual ball of sun, this time of year, of the sunset. The sky is magnificent at any view but his tree doesn’t allow the full sunset “flash”. However, the egret living in the avocado tree is fun to watch leave and come home each day. You wake up each morning to a symphony of bird song. The pool and waterfall are beautiful and we enjoyed it very much. We even loved it in the rain. The tile is gorgeous and the workmanship is beautiful. The home was perfect for the needs of 3 adults. We had our own space and yet were able to enjoy being together for meals and pool time and movies. We had a rental car that allowed us to explore the island but it certainly isn't a must if you just want to enjoy the nearby beach and Ali'i Drive and downtown area. The younger adults totally enjoyed the proximity of both nearby beaches. This was our first foray into VRBO and it has sold us completely. We won't be going back to hotels or resorts if we can avoid it. This experience was the best!"
