  • Stellar Location and Amenities

"Could not be closer to the water, watch whales, dolphins, the stars. Close to the oceanside pool and other fantastic amenities at this complex. Beautiful furnishings and attention to detail. Walking distance to keeahou shopping center with great restaurants, farmers markets, movies and more."

  • Ocean Front Gem!

"Great location… just a couple blocks away from town so you could walk to dining / shopping within about 5 minutes. The complex grounds were well maintained, nice pool and lounge chairs. The unit was clean, recently updated, comfortable and had everything we needed including A/C and washer / dryer. We also used their beach chairs and umbrella's along with the snorkeling gear to walk to the sandy beach next door to the unit several days…. saw lots of fish and a few turtles too. We hope to get back to Kona next year and would absolutely stay here again…. it was lovely to sit and relax while watching the sunset every evening and then we'd head over the the BBG grills to make dinner. The sound of the ocean was so tranquil. Loved our time here!"

  • Perfect home for a comfortable and exotic getaway

"My wife and I stayed for a week with two other couples, a baby and a toddler. The house felt totally isolated due to the sense of privacy and lack of any noise. Very relaxing! The kitchen was stocked with all necessities to prepare full meals each day. Great appliances, pots and pans, utensils. The lanai was the most popular attraction of the house; we had so much fun lounging and eating out there by the pool that we never even turned on the big screen TV. The view from the lanai was even better than is represented in the pictures, with amazing sunsets and a cool breeze to keep the temperature hovering around perfect. Sleeping arrangements were very comfortable. Although the house feels isolated, we explored the island easily with 10-20 minute drives to surfing, snorkeling, swimming with dolphins, hiking, dining and nightlife. We loved this great home and would recommend anyone looking for a relaxing Big Island getaway to book it...just not when we're trying to come back!"

  • Incredible stay on the Big Island!

"Beautiful home that worked out perfectly for our first time on the Big Island. Seven in our group, very comfortable. Newlyweds got the lower level suite, and Mom, Dad, two brothers and Grandma stayed upstairs. The house is everything Peter and Darla described. Every day we saw turtles from the lanai or out the bedroom windows. Easy walk to snorkel. Kona is a great base camp to explore the entire island. After being gone several hours, we were so spoiled to return to Hale Honu and truly relax. The evening we arrived, I needed some guidance and sent a text to Peter, who immediately called me and answered my concern. I knew if I needed anything he would be easily contacted and fix any problems. The rooms have extremely comfortable beds, plenty of storage, and the kitchen is wonderful. Staying on the coast was amazing, with daily views of turtles, colorful saltwater fish, unbelievable sunsets, and overall just an amazingly relaxing place to hang out. Thanks Peter and Darla!"
