  • They thought of everything!

"We were first timers using HomeAway, and if this experience is any indication, we will be back! Stacey and Tony have created a very special retreat on their property. It feels private, secluded, clean, and bright. And they really did think of everything that a visitor might need! Day one we were packing a picnic, so I looked in the closet and there was a small picnic cooler. Perfect! We picked up a loaf of delicious Hawaiian sweet bread at a wonderful bakery that day, and when we returned, and there was a bread knife for slicing it up. Perfect! We decided to go snorkeling (very close by) the next day, and there was the snorkeling gear. Perfect! There were so many examples of our needs being met, that we made a game out of trying to find something we needed that wasn't provided... exquisitely comfortable bed, stacks of clean towels, laundry facilities, fresh fruit, a whole binder of sightseeing ideas... we lost that game! They thought of everything. And finally, the outdoor shower is a dream. I can't do it justice with words, it is something that must be experienced. Surrounded by tropical plants, sunlight filtering through, warm water raining down, very private and yet outdoors... it is strange to say a shower was the highlight of a trip to Hawaii, but there you have it!"

  • A home away from home

"We spent four glorious weeks in Jill's darling, cute, well appointed cottage that had everything we wanted. One exception was the minimal Satellite TV options. We would have preferred a full cable set up/programming. Not a huge deal. The bedrooms were lovely. There were small AC units in there to cool them before sleeping. The yard was full of a huge variety of wonderful Hawaiian fruit. It was so much fun picking our fruit from the trees as needed. There is a lovely outdoor shower that was a pleasure for both washing off sand and cooling down. Jill and James were fun and accommodating. We are swimmers and spent most days in one of the two glorious bays nearby. We swam with the Spinner dolphin many times. Each time felt like a blessing. Truly amazing! In short we loved every minute and are hard at work figuring out how to return in 2015. You will not be disappointed, but you will be spoiled. Stay at your own risk! :)"

  • Welcoming arbor+ real Hawaiian experience+ real relaxation= immersion in a true Hawaiian vacation

"I've been to Hawaii before. Staying in the insulated boxes of the Sheraton/big box hotels and having a very tourist type experience that was bland and fake feeling. But staying at a home, with all the things I needed, right in the middle of the local scene was a real Hawaiian vacation. I felt more connected with my vacation and relaxed far more than in any hotel. This home is close enough to run into town and do shopping and be a tourist or better yet.... follow the locals every morning as they walk past your porch to swim with dolphins at the Captain Cook Cove (Kealalekua Bay) and local park. I loved being among the locals; feeling connected to the land and sea and felt less like a tourist in this home and more at home and at ease. It was is the only way I will vacation from now on and it was very hard to leave!! The home has all you need, just grab food. It has plenty of room for all and the view was wonderful and special. My 16 yr old spent his time on the top floor observation deck and that is the best place to take a nap!! The sunsets up top were amazing, BBQ in the sweet shady backyard and then have dinner with the sun and sea at your fingertips from the top deck. Stroll across the street and snorkel your heart out, walk home and enjoy the huge double shower to get the sand off and at your fingertips are the washer and dryer and sink to keep your suits clean and sand free. I found this to be so much nicer than having to worry about washing things off in a hotel room. This is a very special home to vacation in and the location was wonderful. Ill be going back as soon as I can."

  • Absolute Magic!

"My Children and extended family stayed here for 4 nights during Christmas. We cooked a huge Turkey dinner with all the side dishes and the house had everything we needed. We fished off the rocks, snorkled, walked to the edge of the beach front to see the sunset every single night and dove the the Manta Rays. It was truly magical to have all our family in one house with so much beauty around us."
