"We spent 12 days in this wonderful place. The house is perfect and equipped as expected. The garden is incredible, papaya, avocado, banana and lime trees along with the rooster and chicken made me feel like I was in a dream. This island is full of activities, everything from the dessert, volcanic trails, rainforest, waterfalls, forests and beaches. It was a wonderful active vacay. We didn't turn the tv on once.... Beth, you will be seeing us again and we will be sending all our loved ones there. We loved it and left with the Aloha spirit!"

  • Jungle House

"We very much enjoyed our stay at this house. It was our first time staying is a house that felt like it was built into the jungle. Very lush and secluded. We all found it very relaxing."

  • Paradise Found

"We just returned from a three-week stay at Hale Hula, and we've added it to our list of favorite places to visit. The house is cozy and immaculate, and despite being "off grid" met our every need. The surrounding property is a tropical garden with trees bearing macadamia nuts, avocados and a large variety of tropical fruits. The many colorful parrots in the sanctuary are magnificent, and the occasional wild pheasant and turkey roaming the grounds are a further delight. Dorothy and Jerry are the perfects hosts. They made us feel right at home and are most knowledgeable about the many things Hawaii has to offer. If you love nature, as we do, Hale Hula is the place for you."

  • Awesome Location and House

"There are not enough good things we can say about this house. My wife and I stayed here while in Kona to watch a great friend participate in the Ironman. Another couple was supposed to travel with us but were unable due to a family matter. This house is amazing. Everything you need is there. The view is incredible. The house is perfect for one or two couples. It is close enough to Kona and restaurants but also far enough away to be relaxing and quiet. The house is even better than the pictures. The patio is perfect for relaxing and watching the sun set or reading a book in the morning with a cup of coffee. The pool is very nice and refreshing. Everything is perfect. We hope to be back one day. The ocean is a short drive away. The owner was great to work with and very friendly. This place is like being at home (but in Hawaii)."
