  • Relaxing stay

"We spent 6 days in this beautiful condo. It perfectly fit the needs of our party of up to 7 ( 5 adults and 2 kids) with plenty of room for everybody. The condo is very comfortable with a beautiful view, the lanai is a place where you want to stay and relax with a coffee or cocktail depending on the time. The kids loved the pool and would have spent their whole time there. We did explore the Kona area and enjoyed our visits very much. We also drove to the volcano which is really a must see but it is quite a long ride from the Kona side. I highly recommend this condo for anyone who want to explore the Kona area while staying in a comfortable and relaxing place."

  • Highly Recommended! Will definitely return again!

"This was the best experience I've ever had renting through vrbo and similar sites...and I've never had a bad experience to begin with! In a nutshell- Wonderful place to stay, excellent communication, and the owners are just great people! First, I want to point out what great communication I experienced in dealing with Dave and Karen. They were prompt to reply to all questions. I could tell that they really enjoy helping, as all communication was thorough and never seemed rushed or like it was a bother. They truly have everything well organized and streamlined to make the process as easy as possible for renters. It was all seamless, from the reservations, to getting in the door, to wrapping things up when it was over. These little things really matter! Lots of great information was provided before the trip (and inside the condo), on everything from places to visit and places to eat. They list all items which are found in the condo (beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, etc), before you leave, so you don't have to pack them or worry about them. They really have thought of every detail. The condo: Loved it! It stayed cool with just fans and the ocean breeze. Nice furnishings. Very clean. It was well stocked with many items to help enjoy the beach, including nice beach chairs and plenty of snorkel gear. Great entertainment setup, apple tv, movies, fast internet. The lanai was very nice, private, and relaxing. The trundle bed was very comfortable and it sits in an area that you can close off to create a second sleeping area at night (closet as well!). We enjoyed their grill, feeding the geckos on the lanai, and watching the ocean. Comfortable patio furniture to relax in as well. From the lanai we spotted a large pod of spinner dolphins swimming out in the ocean. Great view of the sunset as you can see in the photos. Parking was easy and close to the building, never a problem to find a place. The area was quiet in general, great for relaxing. The kitchen was well stocked with spices and everything you might need for cooking a nice meal. The location: If you're planning to spend time in Kona, as well as travel south to some of the other beaches and sights like Captain Cook's, this is a perfect place to stay. I liked that it was so close to Kona with all its restaurants, markets, and beaches... but just far enough outside of the crowded area that it was quiet and felt safe. I will stay here next time I visit the big island! Mahalo Karen and Dave!"

  • Fantastic Place for Kona/Kailua/Captain Cook

"To be honest, we mostly chose this place for the swing on the lanai, and it did not disappoint! We watched every sunset of our stay from that swing! The lanai is as close as you can get to the water and offers a variety of oceanfront views. With the windows open in the master bedroom, you can listen to the waves all night. The location offers easy access to both Ali'i shops/restaurants and the main highway for other nearby attractions. The beach equipment available in the condo was perfect for introducing new experiences to our 9-year-old poor landlocked child. There are two great beaches just to the north of the compound: one with calmer water for snorkeling, and the other with bigger surf for great boogie board fun! This condo is the perfect place to explore the local area while also quietly enjoying the fantastic natural environment of Hawaii island. Highly recommended... and, if given the opportunity, we will come back as this was a favorite of our stay!"

  • Wonderful Condo!

"We had a lovely time while staying in this unit. We had three adults and two small children, ages 2 and 5, and there was plenty of room for everyone. The little boys loved to run around in the grass just off the patio, and the adults enjoyed napping in the hammock. The owners had everything you might need to enjoy Hawaii, including beach towels, a cooler, sand toys and more. We found the location to be a great starting off point for adventures around the island. The corner unit let in just enough light and it felt very private. The road noise was almost non-existent. We are already planning our return trip! If you are traveling with small children, I do recommend rounding up all the breakable decorations and putting them in a closet right from the beginning."
