  • Our summer vacation

"My recent stay at this condo is a very pleasant experience. The condo is fully stocked for our convenience. The owner got everything in her kitchen including basic spices and ingredients for cooking our meals. She even has beach chairs and umbrella for us to use. Furnitures on decks are very comfortable and relaxing. This is truly a "home away from home" plus an amazing ocean view. It is located a little south of the heart of Kona and very near two beautiful beaches, one for snorkeling and one for boogie boarding. My boys enjoyed their new "gecko" friends that seemed to hang out on the balcony every day. My son even told the geckos that he will "facetime" them when he gets home. If you don't mind not having air conditioning, there were fans everywhere around the house, this place is awesome. Best of all, you cannot beat the price! Thank you Gayle for everything."

"Very clean, well kept condo in a great area. Nicely decorated with upgraded tile bathrooms, comfortable furniture, kitchen has granite counter top and up to date appliances. TV and WiFi systems work good. View from balcony is very nice and will return to great when the golf course reopens in summer of 2015. Having the shopping center with a market, theater, Longs, post office, urgent care center, and several restaurants all within walking distance is great! We enjoyed the swimming pools (3), all looked like new and had limited use. The barbecue on balcony is a small electric unit - serves the purpose - but would be more enjoyed if equipped with a propane unit. Hope to return!"

  • Townhouse by the Sea

"Just finished five wonderful weeks in Unit 59. The longer we stay the harder it is to leave. The complex affords such beauty and the endless sounds of the ocean especially at night makes for a soothing nights sleep. The location of the unit in the complex makes for perfect location for whale and dolphin watching in addition to a short walk to the pool. This end unit is perfectly maintlained and spotlessly cleaned. Our appreciation goes out to the owners, the Kumar's ."

  • Beautiful views, comfortable stay

"This condo was spotless and had all the amenities for a comfortable stay. I traveled with my husband, my mother and aunt. The condo had plenty of room for the four of us. The neighbors were quiet and friendly. The condo quickly cools down if you open the windows in the evening and turn on the fans. The view is beautiful, the master bedroom is spacious, and the beds were comfortable. We also enjoyed using the snorkel gear, boogie board, cooler and beach towels, etc. My only warning is to those of you who are light sleepers; it will take a couple days to get used to the traffic noise and birds in the morning (the birds eventually drown out the noise of everything else, pleasantly reminding you that you are in a tropical region). The owner, Wayne, kindly provided extra ear plugs in the nightstand. Given that there is so much to see and explore on the Big Island, I found myself so tired at the end of each day I mostly slept through the noise after the first two nights. I highly recommend staying in this condo. The description is accurate, the price is more than reasonable and the customer service was excellent. Wayne checked in with us during our trip to make sure everything was going well. He also provided recommendations for activities and restaurants. The location was just a short drive to the Kona Farmer’s Market and the shops and restaurants along Ali’i Drive. We mostly cooked our own meals at the condo but did enjoy Killer Tacos and Lava Java. The City of Refuge (Puuhonua O Honaunau National Historic Park) was a short drive and absolutely beautiful. The Volcanoes National Park was a 2-hours drive and made a great day trip. When we weren’t out and about exploring the Big Island, we were relaxing on the lanai, enjoying the view. Thank you Wayne and Gail for allowing us to stay in your condo. This was our first time in Hawaii and our first time renting a condo though Home Away and we had a wonderful experience with both!"
