  • What a wonderful place to be!

"Coming to this paradise was worth every minute of the long 18 hour flight to Hawaii. When we arrived we quickly adopted to the life here - getting up with the birds, having a great breakfast on the upper lanai, going out sightseeing, snorkeling, exploring the island, finding great places with excellent food and then just coming back home to watch the beautiful sunset. The condo itself is really pleasant and offered everything we needed and reflected perfectly how it was described. It became quickly a home for us. The charming and quiet environment with the super nice view over the tropical garden to the sea is a real nice place to relax and enjoy. The Keauhou Resort has been ideal for us - the supermarket was very close, so we did not waste much time in getting everything we needed. It was so nice to drive up Ali'i drive to Kona for a drink or coffee, or just for walking around. Jackie Rays restaurant is a good recommendation to have a nice lunch or dinner, and the pizza at the Kona Brewery is excellent too, a very nice place to eat. We also very much enjoyed exploring the island - driving up north to the fantastic Hapuna beach or further up to the impressive coastline with the beautiful valleys, seeing the huge Ranches, having a great IPA in the local microbrewery in Waimea. The variety of nature is quite remarkable, of course the volcanos and the park in the south are impressive, but this is not everything. Not far away the tropical forests give a such a contrasting experience. Hilo is just a two hours drive away from Kona taking the Saddle Road and beside the Waterfalls, we found the tropical botanical garden a few miles north of Hilo a real beautiful place. There is so much to see on the island more than we can list here and it is certainly better to read the guidebook. Thanks very much Rudi and Miriam for sharing your paradise with us. viele Grüße aus Deutschland Hoffentlich können wir bald mal wieder hierher kommen! Mahalo! S & W"

  • Long time favorite

"My wife and I recently stayed in this unit for two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed each day. Well appointed and comfortable. In fact we may purchase a temperpedic bed. There are some quirks with the shower in that you have to make sure it is not leaking after using it. You just have to turn it off and on repeatedly until it stops. A number of wall outlets do not work but there are enough to take care of charging gadgets. We experienced an unusually hot spell in July with no breeze and A/C would have been nice from about 1:00PM until 5:00 PM. That became pool or beach time. We met some nice folks and even got to be part of a wedding as a couple conducted their wedding ceremony below our unit near the pool. Wonderful way to spend our 37th anniversary. We have been coming to this condo complex on and off since 1981. It is a heck of a bargain."

  • Vacation for 2

"The listing description was accurate and descriptive, and we found the place with the directions. Ansilla was very helpful in answering our questions and providing us with the necessary information. The feeling of home away from home was palpable. We found our stay very relaxing. All necessities of life were available in the home to cook in the kitchen and eat in the dining area, bathe in a lovely shower, wash/dry our clothes, and cleanup. The home was very warm (85+), but the several ceiling fans really helped. Waking up in the morning was really special, as the light gently increased and birds chirped and sang. Only recommendation is to improve the quality of the mattress and sheets. Current quality is satisfactory, but could be more comfortable. Bottom-line: We found the property clean, well-maintained and would recommend it without reservation to others."

  • Beyond Expectations

"My husband and I stayed at this condo for a week and it was the most beautiful, well-decorated, spacious, furnished condo we have stayed at in Hawaii. We never pay more than $100/night for condos, so that is the group of condos to which we are comparing this one. This condo is two stories, with a deck overlooking the bay from which sunsets are absolutely gorgeous. The lower level has a bedroom with porch/lanai with tons of birds who will come to the feeder. The owner even left birdseed to put out, and watching and listening to the various birds was a real treat. The lower level also has a nice bathroom, with washer and dryer. The owner even left detergent for us to use. There were plenty of towels, bedding, closet space, and fans in the lower level. The upper level had a living room and kitchen, which were both quite spacious. There were plenty of dishes and cooking supplies. The refrigerator was large, the oven and stove were also full sized. The living room had a sofa bed which could have slept a couple more people, if you have more than 2 in your party. Everything about this condo was beautiful, clean, quiet, and relaxing. Plenty of beach towels and two beach chairs were provided. The pool looked very nice, although we did not use it. You can walk to the bay where snorkeling and manta ray tour boats leave from. You can also walk to a shopping area, with several eating options, grocery store, and farmers market. The area is a 5-min drive to downtown Kona."

Keauhou Resort Travel Tips

The Big Island of Hawaii is also known as the healing island and one visit makes it clear why. The peace and serenity of the Kona Coast make it the ideal place to get away from it all and relax. Keauhou Resort condo rentals put you close to the clear blue water and the spectacular volcanoes which create quite the contrast.

The Views from Keauhou Resort Condo Rentals are Spectacular

The view of the ocean washing up against the black volcanic rock is one that you will not forget. Add the sun going down on the horizon and it will take your breath away. These incredible views are available from the Keauhou Resort vacation homes. You also can see the famous Kona coffee farms which cover the terrain going up into the mountains.

Great Activities a Short Walk Away

What visitors seem to most enjoy when staying in Keauhou Resort condo rentals are the abundance of water activities nearby. You can swim at the beach, snorkel in the nearby coves and watch the giant sea turtles navigate through the shallow tidepools. At night, when the manta rays come near shore you can watch them feed. The Kona Coast is also a favorite of divers who can explore the many lava tubes and coral reefs located just a few miles off shore near the Keauhou Resort vacation homes.

Lots of History on Hawaii's Big Island

The south Kona coast is where explorer James Cook landed uncovering the beauty of Hawaii for the rest of the world. He was taken by the sight of the coast right away and you will be too. Staying at Kona Coast vacation rentals will let you see for yourself those pristine surroundings which so impressed Captain Cook, many of the areas have been preserved to still look exactly the same as they did hundreds of years ago.
