  • lovely condo

"Nice condo unit. Clean and nicely decorated with a million dollar view. The king bed is very comfortable. The master suite includes a huge walk in closet, and great bathroom with huge shower. Not a negative but be aware that this is a 2nd/3rd floor condo so pretty good set of stairs to access. I would suggest paying for the a.c. if anyone is planning on sleeping in the loft. The complex is very nice. Some renovation work being done on the grounds but it didn't interfere with any of the facilities except the tennis court. I would return without hesitation and will probably do so."

  • Perfect Family Vacation

"This was our second stay in this large and comfortable condo, located in a very quiet residential area. We loved hearing the ocean from the main lanai, and really enjoyed the large bedrooms with our 2 teens. The condo has great views and the resort is close to many places to explore on your vacation. We loved the neighbourhood around the resort. We walked to the Sheraton to see the sunset and another night walked to a great informal restaurant on Keauhou Bay. It has boogie boards, coolers, snorkel gear and lawn chairs supplied - you just need to show up for a great vacation. Steve is very accommodating and easy to make arrangements with. We hope to be back for a third visit."

  • Beautiful views, comfortable stay

"This condo was spotless and had all the amenities for a comfortable stay. I traveled with my husband, my mother and aunt. The condo had plenty of room for the four of us. The neighbors were quiet and friendly. The condo quickly cools down if you open the windows in the evening and turn on the fans. The view is beautiful, the master bedroom is spacious, and the beds were comfortable. We also enjoyed using the snorkel gear, boogie board, cooler and beach towels, etc. My only warning is to those of you who are light sleepers; it will take a couple days to get used to the traffic noise and birds in the morning (the birds eventually drown out the noise of everything else, pleasantly reminding you that you are in a tropical region). The owner, Wayne, kindly provided extra ear plugs in the nightstand. Given that there is so much to see and explore on the Big Island, I found myself so tired at the end of each day I mostly slept through the noise after the first two nights. I highly recommend staying in this condo. The description is accurate, the price is more than reasonable and the customer service was excellent. Wayne checked in with us during our trip to make sure everything was going well. He also provided recommendations for activities and restaurants. The location was just a short drive to the Kona Farmer’s Market and the shops and restaurants along Ali’i Drive. We mostly cooked our own meals at the condo but did enjoy Killer Tacos and Lava Java. The City of Refuge (Puuhonua O Honaunau National Historic Park) was a short drive and absolutely beautiful. The Volcanoes National Park was a 2-hours drive and made a great day trip. When we weren’t out and about exploring the Big Island, we were relaxing on the lanai, enjoying the view. Thank you Wayne and Gail for allowing us to stay in your condo. This was our first time in Hawaii and our first time renting a condo though Home Away and we had a wonderful experience with both!"

  • Very nice.

"Check in went great. The condo had pretty much everything anyone would need. A little dated with furnishings and the coverings on the couch were a bit tacky. But all in all it was very well equipped. The sunsets from the lanai were amazing and the waves crashing were really cool! Check out was easy. For the most part it was very nice."
