  • Highly Recommended! Will definitely return again!

"This was the best experience I've ever had renting through vrbo and similar sites...and I've never had a bad experience to begin with! In a nutshell- Wonderful place to stay, excellent communication, and the owners are just great people! First, I want to point out what great communication I experienced in dealing with Dave and Karen. They were prompt to reply to all questions. I could tell that they really enjoy helping, as all communication was thorough and never seemed rushed or like it was a bother. They truly have everything well organized and streamlined to make the process as easy as possible for renters. It was all seamless, from the reservations, to getting in the door, to wrapping things up when it was over. These little things really matter! Lots of great information was provided before the trip (and inside the condo), on everything from places to visit and places to eat. They list all items which are found in the condo (beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, etc), before you leave, so you don't have to pack them or worry about them. They really have thought of every detail. The condo: Loved it! It stayed cool with just fans and the ocean breeze. Nice furnishings. Very clean. It was well stocked with many items to help enjoy the beach, including nice beach chairs and plenty of snorkel gear. Great entertainment setup, apple tv, movies, fast internet. The lanai was very nice, private, and relaxing. The trundle bed was very comfortable and it sits in an area that you can close off to create a second sleeping area at night (closet as well!). We enjoyed their grill, feeding the geckos on the lanai, and watching the ocean. Comfortable patio furniture to relax in as well. From the lanai we spotted a large pod of spinner dolphins swimming out in the ocean. Great view of the sunset as you can see in the photos. Parking was easy and close to the building, never a problem to find a place. The area was quiet in general, great for relaxing. The kitchen was well stocked with spices and everything you might need for cooking a nice meal. The location: If you're planning to spend time in Kona, as well as travel south to some of the other beaches and sights like Captain Cook's, this is a perfect place to stay. I liked that it was so close to Kona with all its restaurants, markets, and beaches... but just far enough outside of the crowded area that it was quiet and felt safe. I will stay here next time I visit the big island! Mahalo Karen and Dave!"

  • Amazing Ocean View

"I stayed here with 5 friends when we visited the island for the Ironman. This condo is beautiful and you will never forget the incredible view from your lanai. The owners were very nice and always quick to respond to any questions or concerns. We liked the pool area and everybody there was friendly. The barbecue area is presently being remodeled so grilling wasn't as convenient. It should be lovely when completed, and it's right out the front door. There isn't much for snorkel gear at the unit so bring your own or there are many rental places. We made good use of the beach mats though. You will want to stay in some nights to enjoy dinner on the lanai, but when you do go out we highly recommend the Ke'ei cafe. Best fish anywhere! The Harbor House serves beer in fishbowl sized glasses, Kona Brewery has great pizza, and don't miss a breakfast at The Coffee Shack! We followed the owners recommendation and got our Macadamia nuts at the Kona Coast Macadamia Nut Company. Totally worth the short drive south. I can't wait to come back and would definitely stay at Keauhou Surf and Racquet again!"

  • Great Vacation Rental!

"Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was very clean. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great rental property!!! Couldn't ask for more...location, ocean breeze, tennis, pool...great amenities. When we come back we would want to be in this unit again. This unit had a "late check out" - when we were approved, we did not realize we needed a new entry code- thus was "locked-out" for 1 hour - luckily, we were able to get in and pack & get out in time for our flight. Despite this "glitch", WE HOPE TO COME BACK AGAIN!"
