"We have had a very relaxing time here. Lots of whale watching and hiking. A bit far to do errands and eat out but nice to be away from the busyness of Kona. House was great, no,problems at all."

"This end unit has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms a dining area with a large private Lanai. The kitchen is a small galley type but has a full size fridge and stove with Microwave and DW and full dishes/pots/pans. The Condo Complex is small with few permanent residents and a nice pool. There is a community Grill which works great. The beach is about 100 yards away with excellent snorkeling/surfing and showers/life guards/BR. The bus stop is close and the Keahou Shopping Center is less than a mile which has restaurants, banks, grocery store, bookstore and large drug store as well. Magic Sands beach is also close by and if you're lucky the sand is there. Enjoy the Big Island!"

"The location cannot be beat - you literally feel like you are on a cruise ship - looking out every window (including one of the showers!), all you see is the beautiful water! Waves were huge the week we were there (Christmas 2014), and we had to close the windows at night to sleep, and even then, you could hear the waves crashing against the rocks below! We saw whales and dolphins off the lanai's. So nice to sit outside with a cup of coffee or a cocktail and enjoy the views and sunsets. There were tons of things to use in the house (coolers, chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, etc). Walking distance to the great snorkel beach as well as Magic Sands, but no swimming in front of the house. On the downside (but nothing hampered our trip), the jacuzzi heater wasn't working (but the property mgr worked with us on that), and the air conditioning downstairs didn't work (not a huge deal except when we first got there and it was real stuffy). Any issues were quickly addressed. We loved our stay at Hale Honu over Christmas! There is a grocery store real close. If you go on a snorkel trip, we highly recommend the Fair Winds tour!"

"The condo is ocean front, in a good location, and the views from the balconies were wonderful. Sitting on the balconies was so de-stressing as was going to sleep with the sound of the waves. We saw dolphins every day, playing in the waves and the sunsets were beautiful. The condo was equiped well, however I did tell the owner that the bathtub and shower needed some extra cleaning. One hint for those who like to sleep in: take an eye mask to bed with you."
