  • WOW!

"This was our sixth trip to Kona and Sea Village and by far the nicest condo we've stayed in. It truly feels like a home with top of the line ammenities, appliances and gear! The owner is extremely easy to work with and very responsive and sweet! We definitely plan to return to this high end unit!"

  • Beautiful views, comfortable stay

"This condo was spotless and had all the amenities for a comfortable stay. I traveled with my husband, my mother and aunt. The condo had plenty of room for the four of us. The neighbors were quiet and friendly. The condo quickly cools down if you open the windows in the evening and turn on the fans. The view is beautiful, the master bedroom is spacious, and the beds were comfortable. We also enjoyed using the snorkel gear, boogie board, cooler and beach towels, etc. My only warning is to those of you who are light sleepers; it will take a couple days to get used to the traffic noise and birds in the morning (the birds eventually drown out the noise of everything else, pleasantly reminding you that you are in a tropical region). The owner, Wayne, kindly provided extra ear plugs in the nightstand. Given that there is so much to see and explore on the Big Island, I found myself so tired at the end of each day I mostly slept through the noise after the first two nights. I highly recommend staying in this condo. The description is accurate, the price is more than reasonable and the customer service was excellent. Wayne checked in with us during our trip to make sure everything was going well. He also provided recommendations for activities and restaurants. The location was just a short drive to the Kona Farmer’s Market and the shops and restaurants along Ali’i Drive. We mostly cooked our own meals at the condo but did enjoy Killer Tacos and Lava Java. The City of Refuge (Puuhonua O Honaunau National Historic Park) was a short drive and absolutely beautiful. The Volcanoes National Park was a 2-hours drive and made a great day trip. When we weren’t out and about exploring the Big Island, we were relaxing on the lanai, enjoying the view. Thank you Wayne and Gail for allowing us to stay in your condo. This was our first time in Hawaii and our first time renting a condo though Home Away and we had a wonderful experience with both!"

  • Good Value for the Location

"My wife and I stayed at condo for two weeks and really enjoyed the view and convenience of the location. We found the condo as advertised. Unfortunately, the ongoing renovation of the adjacent unit was our early morning alarm clock. This was not a huge problem because we were exploring the island during the day. In addition, it was unusually hot and muggy during this visit (we normally visit at the end of November) and the small portable air conditioner unit located in the living room was not adequate for a restful sleep. The owners were easy to work with and planned corrective action. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again or recommend for other travelers."

  • Laid-back Rural Getaway

"Here's why I will remember our stay at Nikki's house with such fondness. -big, spacious comfortable rooms. 4 adults could work in the kitchen together. We all could do floor exercises in the livingroom together. The bedrooms were large enough to retreat to for quiet time and the beds were great. -the wonderful deck, with it's view over papaya, avocado, hibiscus, macadamia, etc. and a big BBQ to grill our dinners. -the veggie garden and chickens -the friendly cats who greeted us each day but respectfully declined indoor visits. -the outdoor shower******* -in the background, Nikki's cheerful, unassuming, helpful and friendly presence This is not a 4 star hotel. It's a clean, funky, well-used and loved home with a great vibe. It is not convenient to malls, restaurants, resorts(those are an hour away). There are noisy frogs croaking all night long. But those are everywhere. The location gives easy access to south Kona and south island points of interest, but with it's easy to go up the Kona coast and do a Costco run too. Would I go back? In a heartbeat!!!!!!!!"
