  • Laid-back Rural Getaway

"Here's why I will remember our stay at Nikki's house with such fondness. -big, spacious comfortable rooms. 4 adults could work in the kitchen together. We all could do floor exercises in the livingroom together. The bedrooms were large enough to retreat to for quiet time and the beds were great. -the wonderful deck, with it's view over papaya, avocado, hibiscus, macadamia, etc. and a big BBQ to grill our dinners. -the veggie garden and chickens -the friendly cats who greeted us each day but respectfully declined indoor visits. -the outdoor shower******* -in the background, Nikki's cheerful, unassuming, helpful and friendly presence This is not a 4 star hotel. It's a clean, funky, well-used and loved home with a great vibe. It is not convenient to malls, restaurants, resorts(those are an hour away). There are noisy frogs croaking all night long. But those are everywhere. The location gives easy access to south Kona and south island points of interest, but with it's easy to go up the Kona coast and do a Costco run too. Would I go back? In a heartbeat!!!!!!!!"

  • Perfect location

"I stayed here on my honeymoon. This is the best location for the price in all of Hawaii. The beach is RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET. Every morning we would wake up and have coffee on the wrap around patio, the pictures don't do it justice, and watch the waves. Kona is just a short drive. We loved the freedom of a condo rather than a hotel, mainly for the full kitchen (they even provide a waffle maker!). We just bought groceries and packed lunches for our excursions. We saved a bunch of money this way because we didn't have to eat out every single meal. The grocery store is a very short distance away. Also, something I didn't expect was a washer/dryer in the condo. I didn't think I would use it, but I totally did! We swam in the pool, which is beautiful, almost every night and used the community BBQ once or twice. Over all, I would 100% recommend staying here. I was very happy with the location and the amenities. Can't go wrong with the freedom of this condo"

"This condo is well maintained, very clean, and always up to date. The pool overlooks the ocean with a spectacular view! The condo is only one mile from downtown Kona. The owners have always been very helpful! We have been here many times and hope to return soon!"

  • Loved it!

"Spent five nights at Ann's condo and could hardly have been happier. It is clean, quiet and comfortable, and is perfectly located with a wonderful view of the ocean and sunsets. The condo contained nearly everything I could have needed during my stay. Just three recommendations to make the place even better: 1- Do not leave the A/C cover on A/C unit for guests' arrival - may create confusion and guests could potentially damage the A/C unit. There are instructions on the wall near the A/C remote but I only read the instructions provided on the fridge. Alternatively, provide ALL relevant instructions on one piece of paper or in one document; 2- Leave enough laundry detergent for guests to do at least a couple of loads. There was plenty of dish soap but no laundry detergent provided, so I had to buy a large bottle and left it almost full, I hope it can be used by future guests; 3- Sofa bed was very uncomfortable when used as a bed - I would either discourage people from using it that way, or else replace it with something usable. The toilet was leaking when I arrived, I called the property manager and someone came the very same day and fixed the issue. Very happy with my experience and hope to return in the future. Thank you again Ann! :-)"
