3 night Stay Kona
"Location is perfect. Beautiful view even in the rain. We brought our 8 month old twins and it was nice to have bedrooms towards back of condo. It was a little expensive and we thought the grill was at the unit but it's at the pool. However ideal condo if you want to eat in or out!"

The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was very happy with the location.
I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
This was a very unique house with the beach and ocean as your backyard. The location was very close to restaurants and shopping as well as the pier where many excursions took off from. The house was several levels, so if ambulation and climbing stairs is a problem, this house is probably not for you. There is one bedroom sequestered off from the rest of the house which makes for a nice in-law suite or bachelor pad fully equipped with its own kitchen. Our son stayed here and loved his privacy from his 3 sisters. The lanais were fully open to the outdoors with folding glass doors. We saw gorgeous sunsets in the backyard as well as whales nearby and a sea turtle in the tide pool. Snorkeling in the tide pool is safe for the little ones. The pool was a little cold for us and the waterfall feature did not work when we were there, but no biggie since the ocean was at the back door. It also got a bit warm at night in the upstairs bedrooms, but turning on the AC at night worked well. No need for the AC in the am with all the doors open. Overall a wonderful experience and the place was stocked with more than enough bath towels, beach towels, soap, shampoo, dish detergent, dishwasher soap as well as dishes, cups, garbage bags and laundry detergent. They also supplied floats and snorkel gear for us to use. Oh, the grill was broken when we were there, but hopefully they will get a new one soon. There was an indoor grill on the cooktop to use but no vent to remove the smoke so be careful when using this. We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house!"

"We have stayed at the Kona Reef 4 times always renting an ocean front condo each time. I consider the Kona Reef a three Star Condo Resort with a five Star view. This condo is a five star condo with a 5 plus star view. It is a very modern one and equipped with everything you need. The condo was ready when we arrived and was very clean. There are lots of extra bed sheets, towels, beach towels. dishes (whatever you need is there). We did not have to call the Property Managers for anything.
We have been to Kona 8 times now and once we stayed at the Kona Reef we decided this was the resort for us. It is walking distance to town, great security, free parking and we can view the ocean from the lanai. We saw whales and dolphins from the lanai every day. The BBQ's, pool and grounds are very well looked after by Kona Reef.
Favourite Activity: Night snorkeling with the Manta Rays.
Favourite Beach: Hapuna
Best snorkeling beach: Kahalu'u State Park
Best draft beer: Restaurant at the harbour.
A special thanks to Jan for sharing her Condo with us. We will be back."

roomy, comfortable and convenient condo in a quiet setting
"My husband and two boys (late teens) recently stayed at condo 1002 in Kanaloa for 5 nights. We loved the condo - it is so roomy! Very comfortable living space for us. The kitchen had everything we needed for meals at home, which we really appreciated. It also has a dishwasher and washer-dryer. The location is fabulous - 5 minute drive from the village of Kailua-Kona, the complex is right on the water - so great for sunsets, and because the condo is south of Kailua-Kona it is close to some great snorkelling at the City of Refuge and the Captain Cook monument. And the rental cost is very reasonable. Also, the complex is quiet. We will definitely stay here again when we are on the big island."
