  • Excellent Value!

"This place was better then we expected. The most stunning view, and the space both inside the home and out is exceptional. The pictures hardly do this place justice. We had 10 people staying at the property and we never once felt cramped or inconvenienced. Each bedroom has its own full bath and there is a plethora of outside tables to enjoy your morning coffee or dinner. Candi is both helpful and informational, and she is doing a fine job of keeping the property running smoothly. The only complaint we had is at the end of trip we were discounted $65 from our damage deposit for "excessive" electric. We understand that electric costs are very high in Hawaii, but this additional cost was NOT discussed with us at any point. Although she did mention at the beginning of our trip to turn off lights, fans and keep the refrigerator closed Candi did not explain there would be a fee associated with electricity use if she deemed it excessive. I believe transparency at the beginning would be appropriate, or increase the rental fee so guests do not have to feel guilty about how they live while at the property. This property is very fairly priced, beautiful and well equipped. Over all an excellent experience and have already recommended this place to friends."

  • Beautiful house and convenient location

"The house is beautiful, spacious, and has everything you need; the large garden is a wonder for kids to explore. We were only 6, but 10 people can be very comfortable here. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a blender for making tasty smoothies. We benefited from the snorkel gear, towels, boogie board, coolers, and even clothed for cooler weather (which you'll need if you go to Mauna Kea). We stayed 7 days and were sad to leave. Marci and Chuck were very helpful to us when we needed them, plus they had fruit and coffee for us on arrival. I liked the closeness to Honaunau for picnic and sunset and 2 step for snorkeling. The house is very close to a wonderful fruit stand (at mile 103-104 on hwy 11), and if you want to explore Kohala and the south part of the island, all from one location, this will be a great place to stay."

  • Truly Wonderful

"I spent my childhood in Kona. our family could not have experienced a better home on the island. The home speaks for itself, the pleasant surprise was in how fabulous the home manager was. From preparations for our visit throughout the entire stay she was extremely helpful and responsive. Truly exceeded our expectations!"
