"Stayed for over two weeks, the place was perfect and as stated by previous guest, the Host has thought of everything.
My favorites were the private 4 acre garden, the large screened in porch, the outdoor shower and the wonderful solitude.
This place is not for everyone..,no bars, no shopping malls, no golf courses; just song birds in the morning and frogs singing at night. Perfect place to escape and recharge.
Mosquitoes were hungry but citronella candles from Walmart held them at bay.
looking forward to coming back next year!"

Great views in a well appointed house - just like home!
"Our stay at KC's was like many on here - perfect. The directions to the property are very clear and concise. Once we had collected the keys and put the gate tag on our mirror it was smooth sailing. Tip for those not used to reading directions is to put the house address into your GPS or smart phone!
KC's is walking distance to some fantastic sheltered ocean ponds - we spent hours at the Champagne Pond watching the fish and moray eels - great intro for our novice snorkelling friend before heading out into he open ocean. Also great for the kids.
The house itself is just as described and more. Spotlessly clean and well appointed, we didn't have to buy anything except food to cook. There are ample supplies of detergents, soaps and all the basics for cooking your own meals. A water filter jug, coffee maker and ice dispenser made it all so easy. This is a real plus for a holiday rental. A short drive away are some good restaurants in Pahoa including a natural food store and other supermarkets aren't too far away on the road to Hilo. The Farmers Market is a real highlight and worth checking out.
The Lanai is HUGE and has great views over the palm trees to the ocean. There's an almost constant breeze and the ceiling fans can be easily adjusted up or down for some extra air movement. We didn't have a problem finding a speed that suited the weather.
There's plenty of beach gear to use including chairs, boards, snorkels, water shoes etc. It really made for a low-maintenance, carefree vacation! There's also passionfruit growing on the fence, some bananas and pineapple in the garden making this a true tropical paradise. Although it rains in the evening, on a clear night the stars are really fantastic with such low light pollution, and there's a gentle evening chorus that sounds straight off a relaxation CD.
We had arrived early and the cleaners were just leaving but welcomed us warmly and had left some fresh fruits in the basket for us. The owner contacted us before we departed to let us know that the house was free for the day if we wanted to stay on until our flight, which we really appreciated given we had a late afternoon flight. We'd love to come back sometime."

"The apartment was clean and very comfortable. It was quiet and yet close enough to everything that one would need to be convenient. Heath was very accommodating and pleasant, and very patient with me regarding the TV bugs because of my inexperience. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and the lemons on his little trees which he said I could use for my fish and salads!"
