"We had the opportunity to stay in the house for 10 days and our group was very pleased with the coziness of this home. The owners were very very helpful and responsible. We enjoyed the cleaness of the home, plenty of hot water and the peace and quiet of the area. We loved the warm sleeping blankets on our beds. The kitchen is well stock with cooking pots and utensils. We got so use to the quiet when we went to a different island to a hotel we had to get use to the normal noise that surrounded us in our rooms. Do yourself a favor try to rent this home. The pictures don't do it justice."

"This cozy bungalow is tucked into the rainforest and as the other reviewers have said, it is a wonderful place to stay. My partner and I just spent a week there and used it as a base to explore the Volcano NP, Puna and K"au. Coming home at night to a fully stocked kitchen and a fireplace was a great way to relax at the end of the day. Vicky is an artist and has great taste in the paintings, photos, and ceramics that make this VRBO rental a unique and personal place to stay. She is also a great resource."

VERY COMFORTABLE & CONVENIENT TO HAWAII VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK
"We appreciated Becky sharing her home with us! It was truly a "home away from home". We were able to do so much at HVNP because we were only 4 miles away. We did all the Day Hikes that the NP recommends and some extras. We enjoyed the Kilauea Iki Trail the most, including the Lava Tube. The most challenging was the Hilina Pali Trail to Ka'aha. It was easy to see the glowing caldera in the Kilauea Crater at night with such a short trip back to "home".
The kitchen is large and easy to use, so much storage area. We enjoyed the grill and having a washer & dryer convenient to use. The rooms are all separate enough to accommodate other couples or two or more families (four separate bedrooms). Everything worked out very well! We'd stay here again and recommend it to others!"

"I would say that this is a great deal for the money if you appreciate a remote location. It is near some very interesting natural sites. It would rate five stars from me if the squeaky doors were oiled. The homeowner provided good directions and a map."
