"Thank you Jeana. We absolutely loved our stay at Pali Hale! The house was comfortable and had everything we needed to cook all our meals there. The peacefulness of sleeping with the doors open, listening to the waves (and whales) was unforgettable. The house was clean and bright and we will definitely consider a stay again in the future! I can only think of two things to mention about some improvements. Lounge chairs for sunning and repairing the screens in the master bathroom. Many thanks for sharing your wonderful home!!"

"My wife and I stayed at the Hapu'u Fern Cottage at the end of February 2015 and absolutely loved the entire experience. Karen was extremely generous, friendly, helpful and working with her was a breeze. The home was very private, clean and the hot tub was really nice after a day hiking around Volcano National Park (which is located about 5mins. away by car). I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway."

"We recently stayed at this property in August and loved it! This home literally had everything we needed to start our stay from the little things to the big things! We travelled long and far so by the time we arrived at the property we had not had a chance to go to the store but it ended up not being a problem. The property surrounding the home was just stunning, we felt like we were in our own jungle oasis. We all enjoyed the pool very much! There is no Ac in the house but we were comfortable enough with windows open and fans on to sleep. I'd love to return to this rental property for a few days of R and R. Love the area, love the neighborhood and love Hawaii!"

"We are a family of 3 and this cottage was the perfect amount of space for us. It was so much fun to swim in the beautiful ocean outside your back door. The geothermal "pools" are just spectacular! Bring your own snorkel gear. We were in the water everyday checking out all the beautiful fish. Many people pay good money to get a snorkeling trip like the one in your own backyard. We saw tons of beautiful fish everyday and even swam beside 2 Sea Turtles! It was truly spectacular! House was well stocked with towels and everything that was needed. The master bedroom is very small and the bed not too comfy. But the second room of 2 bunks (4 beds) was great. If you are a family of 4 or 5 this is still plenty of space. It's a cute funky beach cottage and we LOVED every second. If you are not big on lizards and geckos you may be a little squeamish! However, we LOVED seeing all the geckos outside and in the house. There was one in particular that must live behind the cupboards in the kitchen. Numerous times we gently removed it from the house and every time it wound up back inside. My 7 year old daughter just adored catching and releasing geckos. It was hours of entertainment. Lots of crabs down in the "pool" too. She loved seeing them and we did catch one baby one while there to check out and release. The crabs are really quick. They don't like humans and move out of sight when you get near. So again nothing to worry about if your not a big animal lover like we are.
The only negative was that along side of this property is the public access route. So there is a constant stream of people walking alongside your property to access the pools as well. We stayed Monday through Thursday which I'd consider the slow part of the week and there was still a steady flow of people each day. So it wasn't really as private as I would've liked but guess that's the price you pay to be somewhere as gorgeous as this. Others want to see it too :) We'll be back! Mahalo!"
