"This place was just so wonderful!!! We had 2 couples in our party and there was plenty of room for all of us to relax and enjoy this fabulous home. The lava rock pond has wonderful healing thermal spring waters and we were in it all day long. The Champagne pond down the street was a lot of fun as well as the tide pools close by. This house has all you need to enjoy & have a great vacation. Thank you Kathy for thinking of everything!"Guest: Diane & Manuel Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 18, 2014View listing

"Just before we arrived Hurricane Iselle landed... Unfortunately it packed a punch to the beautiful home we were to have stayed in. With no water or power we were forced to seek another place to stay. Our heart went out to the owners of this home and the island in general. The owners were devistated I'm sure, but were very accommodating. They made sure we received a full refund prior to our arrival and communicated with us every step along the way. Needless to say we didn't get to stay in their lovely home but we plan to in the near future. They get 5 stars for being gracious and kind! We even drove over during our stay for a day to try and help out the owner and community in any way we could but unfortunately couldn't get into the community to do so. I'm sure that we would have had the time of our lives at this home! Thank you for the opportunity, we will be renting your property soon!!"Guest: My heart belongs to Hawaii Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 30, 2014View listing
"WOW! Absolute paradise. LOVE IT! The House is very spacious and very clean. You enter through a combination gate that feels private and secure. Master bedroom has a queen bed that is very comfortable. Spacious room with a great ocean view. Master bath is very big and we loved the shower with the ocean view. Lots of hot water and good water pressure. Two other queen bedrooms in the back of the house that share a bathroom. Smaller than the master but nice. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you need including paper towels, spices, oil, water. Another spot that has a great ocean view. Nice big lanai, with a great view of the ocean and very peaceful to read and relax. Fantastic pool with ocean view. Just missing a spa, then it would be perfect! Water temperature is perfect and we used it everyday. It gets the sun in the mornings and that was a perfect time for a dip. BBQ is in the pool house in case it rains (which it did everyday briefly), worked perfectly. Two hard tail MTB (rockhoopers). Extra tubes, spoons, helmets and gloves available. Great for exploring! We road down to the tide pools, about 12 miles round trip. Great bikes and much appreciated. Gravel road coming in from both directions. When we arrived there were so many potholes we thought we may have to turn around. On day #4 they actually filled in those potholes and put down new gravel. Much better! The drive out through the mango grooves is beautiful. Continue on to Kalapana, spectacular! (better than the drive to Hana). The neighbors (who we hardly saw) and rags were awesome. Love that dog. So much so we googgled a golden doodle to check them out to see where we could get one back home. Very friendly and very nice having a dog around in the middle of nowhere. At night it got to be very dark and a little scary on the first night with strange noises. It sounded like someone or something was crashing through the bushes out in front. We soon figured out that it was some kind of fruit that was falling onto the Palm Franz making all that noise. Enabled us to sleep a lot easier at night. You get used to the frog and birds at night and throughout the day. They actually are quite comforting at night. You can also hear the waves crashing against the rocks but only barely as the frogs drown out the sound. We found Kai Malolo to be very very relaxing and just what we needed. This is a fantastic house rental, one of the best we have ever rented in fact. We will definitely be coming back."Guest: Kiwi14 Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: October 3, 2014View listing
