"The unique layout of this home, wrapped around a center Japanese garden, made our stay memorable. Sliding panels open the rooms to garden views and breezes. The two large bedrooms and four sitting areas sometimes made it challenging to find one another! The landscaped lava field across the street is beautiful, demonstrating the love and care also shown in the prints and art objects which decorate every room. We enjoyed the bicycles and the children loved the pool and the moas. You won't forget this special house. photos don't do it justice."

"Our stay was better than what we expected. Fruit and coffee were waiting for us, as well as a useful guidebook on the cottage, surroundings and tourist attractions. The property is huge, in the middle of a residential area, so fully private and peaceful. The cottage is very conveniently equipped with all facilities, including speed internet. The outdoor shower is an experience.
It is a pleasure to have the breakfast or dinner in the screened lanai. It is also a pleasure to fall asleep with the croak of frogs. The location is convenient to visit the South and East of Big island, but you can go to the beaches in the Western part in less than two hours (beaches in Hilo were a bit disappointing). We would definitely be very happy to come back!"

"Thank you Jeana. We absolutely loved our stay at Pali Hale! The house was comfortable and had everything we needed to cook all our meals there. The peacefulness of sleeping with the doors open, listening to the waves (and whales) was unforgettable. The house was clean and bright and we will definitely consider a stay again in the future! I can only think of two things to mention about some improvements. Lounge chairs for sunning and repairing the screens in the master bathroom. Many thanks for sharing your wonderful home!!"

If you want to unplug in paradise - this place is for you!
"The fabulous pictures in VRBO are, if anything, understated. This place was beautiful and spotless. We felt like we were renting a villa more than a house. Our last stay in Hawaii was on Maui at a hotel - total tourist land. This was the polar opposite. Really secluded and connected to nature. My family of four (two teenagers) stayed nine days and everyone simply loved it. Lots of space for us to be alone if we wanted. Really relaxing."
